  1. Those soldiers are from Bridget 10 and 8 Renjer PARA from Terendak, Melaka. They have been patrolling KLIA for the past 2 months with Pasukan Gerak Am (PGA) as instructed by KDN.
  2. The directives for both above came from the Govt, not MAHB and carried out by the ministries. MAHB do not have such facility nor expertise.
  3. On the topic, just FYI EK is sending A380 for it's flight to KUL on 1st Nov tentatively. I'll try to get more details on this.
  4. For the event today, there will be water cannon salute. Aircraft will dock at gate C2. Spotters should be able to spot from anjung tinjau.
  5. Those pictures were taken around 11 am. From what i heard, there was bacaan doa selamat inside the aircraft after arrival. The major event will be held on the 20th.
  6. Aircraft is here already, Foxtrot 56. ATA 0910. Sorry for the quality, snapped by hp.
  7. Hello guys, Kwek, nice pictures! The pictures have triggered a case that has been on my mind all these while. I have been trying to find info about this particular aircraft, a Boeing 707. (Pic URL below) That picture was taken at SZB in 1981 and the aircraft was most probably not air-worthy anymore then. When I was growing up, I believe that I have seen that particular aircraft a few times. As I recall, my father told me that someone has bought that aircraft and wanted to turn it into a restaurant. I remember seeing just the fuselage by a roadside somewhere in PJ in the 80’s. However, that plan has failed. As a result, the fuselage was taken to a scrap metal yard in Klang (my hometown). The place was located at Jalan Kapar, on the way to Kuala Selangor. I have passed the yard a few times and the wreckage was placed there (back in the 90’s). It was in the same color as in the picture. However, I could not ascertain the type of aircraft it was as I was still a kid back then. Last week, out of curiosity, I went back to the place and the scrap metal yard was not there anymore. I was disappointed. So, I have been searching for some answers. These are my questions: 1) The aircraft in the picture and the fuselage at the scrap metal yard, are they of the same aircraft? 2) If it’s true, how on earth a Boeing 707 that was once the king of the skies ended up being a metal wreck here in Klang? All I wish that I had taken the pictures of the wreckage when I had the opportunity. My guess is that fuselage that I saw has been reduced to rubble. And I wish I was into flight simming then, maybe I would have bought the nose section and turn it into my homebuilt cockpit. So, does anybody has any information? Boeing 707 Pic
