  1. Great catches on the Antonov and EC 725s.
  2. Help please. Is the Penang Flying Club still active? If not, where is closest flying club to Penang? I have an Australian friend who is very interested in joining a local club. Any help appreciated. Many thanks.
  3. Thanks Mir. I like that one too. Was this a returning Hadj flight?
  4. Some very nice catches out of Subang recently.
  5. Thanks Hon Kit. Not from the bus stop. From the crash gate near the cargo area. Standing on the water pipe. Not very safe la!! Nearly fell off. Also, Jln Bayan Lepas has been closed both ways. Could not get to the small river area today because of that.

  7. Was there earlier. Left at 10.40am.
  8. Alvin, I hope the attached jpg is of use. The letter 'X' indicates the bus stop. The letter 'Y' shows another reasonable spotting location. Hope that helps.
  9. I had to leave around 11.30am so missed that. Was hoping the DC3 mentioned by Mir might have been around.
  10. Spent a couple of hours at PEN this morning. Was surprised to see FZA. 20121104-IMG_9045 by Janner88, on Flickr Silk Air's second approach. 11. Some very nice catches coming out of Subang recently. Well done guys.
  12. Nice catch on the F27. I remember the Dart Heralds were regular visitors to Butterworth when I first got there in mid-66.
  13. Just re-checked the base location of VR-62. Looks like they now operate out of NAS Jacksonville, Florida. Moved from Brunswick in 2009 by the look of it.
  14. KSOng, TK, excellent catches. "JW" tailcode for VR-62 out of NAS Brunswick, Maine.
  15. Uncle Norman, lovely photos.
  16. Great coverage there guys. Excellent photos.
  17. Very nice catches. Well done guys.
  18. Good question Naim. Ak5334 KUL - LGK has been orbitting west of Penang for a while. Weather at LGK looks bad also although 5334 now seems to be out of the hold and heading for a landing there. AK5286 is now back in the air and heading towards KBR.
  19. Looking at the metars, possibly a weather divert. http://www.aviador.es/Weather/Decoded_Metar/WMKC
  20. Thanks Naim. I was trying to upload a screenshot as you posted.
  21. Air Asia Flt AK5286 KUL to KBR seems to be on the descent into Penang presently. Problems at KBR?
