Was going to the airport this morning but a thunderstorm and heavy rain ruled that out. Missed the Omni again.

Thanks MIR. Could not really get a good look at the types but the F18s on the right of the formation are single seat so not TUDM. Was going over to the mainland this morning but didn't make it. I think the RAAF might also be back in town.

Waiping, there are two Garuda CRJ flights into PEN. One arrives at 0810, the other at 1545. I'm normally at the airport in the mornings. Must make the effort to get there early next time.

Hon Kit, I have yet to get the Garuda CRJ. Must get up earlier. Was that taken from the crash gate near the cargo terminal?

SS Lee, thanks. This was the first 767 with winglets that I have seen arriving at PEN. There have been others before I think. The guy in the RH seat of MW seems to be filming the landing. Can't really be sure what he is using for that.

That looks like the practice fire area with a mock-up of an aircraft that the airport fire service use. Google earth shows it very clearly.

Khairul, not sure what phone you have but have you tapped on the '+' sign on the menu bar at the bottom of the page? That brings up details, including a photo if there is one, on my android.

Overhead Batu Ferringhi this morning, AS355f2, Ecureuil 2, 9M-ZAS, of Solaire Helicopters. 20130326-IMG_0825 by Janner88, on Flickr The serial number on the bottom of the vertical fin appears to be s/n 5508. This s/n comes up as belonging to 9M-GAC, also an AS355f2. GAC was listed for sale a couple of years ago. Can anyone confirm it became 9M-ZAS please? Many thanks.

MIR, the VC10 is being withdrawn from service. There are only two or three airframes left flying and they will be gone soon. :(
