  1. Wow. Is that for real ? Good on them if it is. My record time being put on hold by them was almost 2 hours. In that time, I left the phone call on speaker mode (calling from a landline in Australia, you only pay a flat rate of 20 cents - for my case), did my laundry, transferred my laundry from the washing machine to the dryer, took them out from the dryer and then folded them and still I was on hold.
  2. I suppose that's the reason why, they have 'Promo' fares on Premium for one of the flights but not for the other.
  3. Finally getting to their senses I guess. Good on them.
  4. And not to mention that there are many more airshows than say 10-15 years ago.
  5. Austrian Airlines was the last to terminate IIRC. They used to ply the VIE - KUL - SYD route.
  6. They look much better than the present Premium seats. I'll post up some pics of the present ones over the weekend.
  7. Well looks like they have already taken India by storm. Launching flights to Chennai from both KL and Penang and also flights to Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Mumbai from KL. AK
  8. Maybe they got the green light to operate the more profitable routes that they have been after e.g. SYD and ICN ?
  9. Well if they are routing it via ADL then it will give them a monopoly over the ADL - CHC route. Currently only NZ flies 1x daily between ADL and AKL. May work out well since the B772 is just sitting idle in ADL for 8-9 hours anyway. I wonder if they'll have 5th freedom on the ADL - CHC sector though.
  10. Sentiasa melepasi 'jangkaan'. (Going beyond 'expectations'). I wonder what cost cutting measures will be implemented next.
  11. Thanks for the heads up Alan. A somewhat expensive day trip isn't it ?
  12. AK has also increased their KUL - CGK frequency recently from 6x daily to 7x daily. My flight out to CGK on MH 711 on 23rd Dec was on an A332. Not sure if it was a once off or a capacity adjustment.
  13. Something related to this piece of news perhaps ? Just my hunch. *Shrugs* From The Australian:

  15. Looks pretty good. Better than some of the desserts they have put inside the Snackboxes before. Haagen Dazs only for Domestic flights ? Shouldn't International flight passengers be accorded similar treatment too ?
  16. From The Edge: LINK Financials from Filing to Bursa Malaysia: Financials
  17. I did not read the newsletter before posting that. Was just reading on the highlights that Azizul posted. Besides, if it was suspended due to security purposes, it probably should have been implemented a while back? They wouldn't have to wait till now. MH is not the only airline offering this service, SQ does that out of SIN and SIN being SIN would usually be even more conscious about security. Of course it could well be due to securiy purposes but this is coming from an airline that mentioned that based on their survey 93% of their passengers were 'receptive' of the Snackbox when it was first introduced. So you can't blame me for taking their words with pinches of salt. *Shrugs*
  18. Lack of demand for these services or another cost cutting measure ?
  19. Would be great if the new online booking engine allows Multi City and Open Jaw bookings.
  20. Pacific Blue operates the B738 from DPS into ADL, MEL and SYD I think, so CGK to ADL should be within the range.
  21. MH does twice daily to SYD. The flight that Eugene is referring to terminates in SYD. It goes on the KUL - SYD - KUL cycle. The KUL - SYD - BNE - KUL triangle flight arrives SYD in the evening.
