  1. AHKGAP is pleased to present to you all an album of photos of Scoot’s first revenue flight to HKG, as well as details of what took place onboard the first flight outbound from HKG. One of our member was onboard the first service to Singapore.
Scoot’s first flight to HKG, the airline’s 13th destination, arrived ahead of schedule at 0502 hours local time as TZ220 and departed back to Singapore early at 0641 hours on flight TZ221. The airline's Chief Executive Officer Mr. Campbell Wilson and Mr. Dominique Loh, the airline’s manager for Communications and Guest Relations, were onboard and our member Sneeze Lam had the honour of meeting these two distinguished individuals. Scoot flight attendants ensured a fun-filled journey for passengers by singing songs in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, and the airline’s CEO even took part in the onboard duty-free sales, giving passengers the chance to interact with him.
An early touchdown at 1010 hours local time in Singapore concluded a memorable experience for everyone onboard.
We thank Scoot for the wonderful experience and hospitality and wish them the very best.

  2. very nice Sneeze........I didn't know there is a association for aviation photographers in HK.......wish Malaysia had one too

    Thanks Raymond

Our association is found since 01 Aug, 2012, still very green in the aviation field, but we have some experienced spotters who spot from the era of Kai Tak.

Please feel free to visit our website and the facebook fan page.

  3. Did some spotting recently in the cool December! I would share some of the special as highlights.

B-LJA - Hong Kong Trader, I always have no luck with her, since I planned to spot her 4times, and all 4times, she landed on the opposite runway. Up till now, I still haven't a shot of her FLYING.

A typical busy moment in HKG, but I never understand why people on A.net love such kind of photos with all small planes.

Although I was always bad luck with B-LJA, but god knows I am a hot-blooded spotter, so he sent me these from Korean in the same day.

  4. Haven't been to MWs for long, so I am kind of newbie here :p

To me, Yr 2011 is sweet with the commencement of B787 and B748F first flying. Not too much spotting I did overall for this year. Therefore, I have not much to share.

Trips were not happened to much as previous year as I have changed my job in the mid-of-year. Just 6 flights flew i/o 13 in 2010.

Hope to see those jokers and gangs in 2012, confirmed in BKK?

MWs, the best aviation forum in Asia in my opinion.

    Cheers to all of you

    Sneeze, fr HKG

  5. How would the weather conditions be in November ? Clear and temp still pleasant ?

(might be considering a trip down to HKG+Southern China)

Weather in November various week by week day by day. However, from the last year record, weather will still be not too bad. rwy25 action still highly possible.

  6. Red lobster weather, right Sneeze ? :p

Haha, a bit different these days. Weather is hot, but still with some winds, therefore, lobster will be dried if lack of water.

Last time you came, because of the typhoon was around Taiwan, no wind at all. So, you was a well-steamed lobster :yahoo: :yahoo:

  7. After a week of busy work enhanced with nice weather spotting season, finally I have time to share your guys with the day I was in the ceremony of Dragonair's 25th Anniversary.

Starting her service in 1985 with just one Boeing 737-200A flying to Kota Kinabula, in this 25 years time, Dragonair provides excellent services to her every passengers. No wonder she is recognized in winning the Skytrax's "Best Airline - China" for 6 consecutive years; "Best Regional Airline: SE Asia" in 2008 and "World's Best Regional Airline" in 2010. This affiliate member of oneworld has now a network of 29 destinations over China and rest of Asia with currently operating a fleet of 29 aircrafts (2 more A320-200s will soon join the fleet).

The tagline "Serving you for 25 years" was painted on the fuselage showing the airline's heart in achieving excellent services to all passengers.

Lion and Dragon dance for celebration.

    IMG_06412.jpg

Skytrax's "World's Best Regional Airline" in 2010! Good Job Dragonair!

Before the ceremony, shower rain over our head. However! Rain stopped and turning clear once the ceremony started. This special painted A330-300 was planned not to roll out due to the rain. However, plan was changed and time to shot!

    Final Check! Checked!

Ready? Buup Buup! Tow Truck Engine Started and ROLL!

    ROLLING OUT!

    IMG_06772.jpg

The frontline team and the managements were having shot again with the banner.

    IMG_43772.jpg

Close up with the the tagline. And the revised Brand Hong Kong logo, which is the first Dragonair aircraft wearing this revised logo.

    IMG_07182.jpg

Always lovely to have such a close up view of aircraft, IMO.

    IMG_06862.jpg

Before all invited guests leave the ceremony, these load of newly issued A330-300 B-HYF models were given as gift! Sure I received one as well.

On the fuselage, you can feel the strong oriental style. The flying 36.15 meter long golden dragon aligned with the 20th Anniversary's design to show Dragonair commitment in keeping excellent service, and that the Dragon Story is going forward. The golden and silver Chinese calligraphy reflects Dragonair's Hong Kong heritage.

According to the information I have received from the ceremony, in order to celebrate her 25th years of service, the airline introduce new Chinese inflight menu with Michelin 1 Star restaurant to offer classic, authentic Chinese cuisine in flight. Hope you enjoy the report and fly on Dragonair later to feel her excellent service.

Thanks for your reading and once again, sorry for my delay.

  8. FedEx MD-10-10F N68049 arriving back at Changi after an Air Test. Previously, this model was rarely seen in this part of the world as it often plies domestic and regional routes in the US. MD-10 aircraft are unique to FedEx as their DC-10 have a MD11 cockpit to eliminate the need for a Flight Engineer and enable common crew rating for both their DC-10 and MD-11 aircraft.

She was in HKG today flying from SIN :)

So glad to see her in real!

    My First time!!!

  9. Dragonair's first service in 25 years before was flying from Hong Kong to Kota Kinabalu. It seems that there we, Hong Kong people, have established an unbreakable relationship with Malaysian. With this as catalyst, I would like to try all my best to share you guys the livery unveiling ceremony of the Dragonair to mark her 25th anniversary. The ceremony will be held today afternoon, by then the most current special 25th anniversary livery of Dragonair will roll out and show to the public not only in Hong Kong but also most of the other Asia countries.

At the moment, I just hope no rain will fall during the ceremony.

Stay turn and please pray hard for me.

    :drinks:

  10. Dragonair is going to celebrate her Silver Jubilee, this week a painted A330-300 will be officially presented to the public this week in order to synchronize all the celebrating activities.

Some of you may have already checked out the painted A333 from other Hong Kong spotters. However, for more information regarding the special scheme stay turn on this topic. Hopefully I can share you guys the most updated photos by end of the week.
