  1. Ambitious. Just wish them well. Will only give us travellers more options.
  2. Will be on one of those charter flights to Umrah in February.. Cant wait. Should be my only flight on the superjumbo.
  3. The staff i found at the Rayani air at BKI have no idea when they'll start ops to BKI. But it's the strongest indication yet that BKI could yet be their 1st west malaysia destination. Fingers crossed. Looking forward to their price for the country's trunk route. Have to take into account their non existing inflight entertainment.
  4. I noticed they got 2 flights daily to KBR, and i noticed from the timing the single 734 won't be able to do it. Do they have another aircraft ready?
  5. I believe they owe MAHB lots of money because of parking the unused planes at KLIA for so long?really wonder if the planes are usable after so long idling.
  6. Really strange that if they've got business plan for the 742s, letting them rot under the sun and rain...
  7. Still will be my first choice. Choices are there though, bus and taxis True that they have to increase frequency. MAS and international airlines pac at KLIA finds it hard to get a seat due to crowd from KLIA2. These past few months, i noticed the cabin is not well kept, and smelly. Whatever happens to quality control. It wasnt like that a few years ago.
  8. Well how did the 1st day op at t1 for AK? Wonder where do maswings park their atr now that AK 320s are there overnight.
  9. They did send a 330 for rescue flight earlier this year if not mistaken. One of the 'excuse' for them initially not to move to t1 was to expand t2 and set up a d7 base at BKI. But dats for another thread.
  10. I think MAHB forced AK out by liasing with immigration and customs to stop their service there. AK can't do anything but to move out.
  11. Cant wait to see them at T1 BKI. Wonder if all their 330 and 320s will fit. Win for bki spotters and people.
  12. It's happening alright. Tomorrow's the day. Today i wss at t1 and noted all the led screen on the check in island is functioning bearing AK logos. As well as a lot of self check in kiosk being set up just outside the check in area.
  13. Apparently there's an air asia ticket counter being setup at T1. They might not move in 3 days time but they're moving nonetheless.
  14. Or they could lease the LI's 744s. These aircrafts were actively used by Lion to do CGK-JED runs. Havent heard the latest status of the 744s though.
  15. Wow. Was at T1 today. The top board above the furthest check in Island near Mcd has AirAsia sign on it. But then, no signs that AK is preparing the counters for their operations..
  16. They also planned on BKI-KUL on the 734s.already served by MH and OD with their free AVOD. Unless the price is really cheap (OD has it), or they have one hell of an inflight dining (now nobody served it for free), they got one hell of a job to get a slice of the country's trunk route. Remember flymojo's coming too..
  17. I see them settled on green theme instead of the allreds last time around. Any ideas how many 734s they managed to get from MH?
  18. Expressair not serving pnk kch route? I thought they took over from batavia air
  19. Thanks. Solved my mystery for past 2 days
  20. Only 10 days before the supposed relocation. But i cant find any announcement on AK website about this. strange...
  21. Better connection now for AK pax. Terminal 1 will be a busier place now. Good business for the fnb outlets.
  22. Now where exactly is this "40 acre" land in relation to the current main terminal? And why the need for another new terminal when the existing one is only about 7yrs old?
  23. MRN has been there parked without engines for at least a few weeks now. From fr24 MRP and MRQ are doing JED and MED runs from BKI and KCH.
