Theres an aviation account on twitter @Aircrashmayday saying the aircraft took off with several pitot tubes still covered thus the unreliable airspeed. Is this true?

It is network wide reduction since last january. My morning 8am KUL-BKI flight was delayed more than an hour few weeks ago due to no cabin crew available. Strange... true enough the cabin crew arrived at our designated gate 45min post original departure time.

It is but TWU is more than capable to handle it. Compare to KBR with smaller arrival hall. Sometimes Malindo/FY ATR can arrive at the same time on top of AK A320 and MH 738. To make it even worse on some cases of delays, 2 OD ATR can arrive and depart within 2 minutes of each other.

I believe it is rare to have more than 2 AK a320s in TWU at one given time. Maybe its an execeptional situation where an aircraft is having a problem thus the 6hrs delay. Anyways I miss TWU, my hometown. Thx for the pics.

Is it because AK refuse to pay for the aerobridges? I noticed from your pics the aerobridge gates are empty. Strange considering in Kota Bharu, AK uses aerobridge all the time, I think its due to high ATR traffic by FY and OD.

Agree with Mushrif. The tech is at least 20yrs old. Any train, whatever brand, will struggle into its 20s with its schedule running almost 24hrs a day with God knows how many pax. It really needs replacement but the question is, is there any train models out there that can replace this one which will fit the same powerplant and track design.

1. I think the tin can remarks is actually referring to hig density config of other carriers that offers umrah/haj to get better yield. 2. I gope MAS do offer some kind of business/ economy plus config if they do refurbish a380 because Malaysians not only sre capable of going to umrah akmost every yesr, theyre willing to pay more for comfort on the 9+ hours flight. I myself took up the option of paying extra 1k to travel on business seat in the a380 for both legs to and from Medina which I think was a steal.

Strange theyre keeping a few of the non BSI and returning the BSI 738s.

I think during the 90s we did have this kind of route. It was MH60 for the KUL-KCH-BKI-HKG/TPE on 734.

I really hope therell be an odd flight using widebodies out of BKI again using one of these A332s.. miss the early 2000s days when 777 and A330s were used between BKI and KUL.

For the record Saudi Govt as the guardian of the 2 Holy Mosques put restriction on ALL countries hajj pilgrim. And we managed to get extra quota arnd 2000 plus after negotiations. MH was looking beyond Malaysias hajj/umrah pilgrim charter business. I took MH charter to Umrah last year and half of the economy end was filled up by Indonesian pilgrims.

On other news. If no t mentioned yet, BKI-CGK route sill commence soon serviced by Batik Air Indonesia.. warning, its a red eye flights, on Wednesday and Sundays

Its all about personal preferences really. Going back to the topic. I dont think people who forked out hundreds of ringgit to buy international ticket would be bothered with the rm 23 hike.same like waiping, Ive always spared 3-4 hours pre departure whenever I fly out of KLIA to visit KLIA2 and also the Mitsui Factory Outlet.

Exactly my point. Now passengers tend to choose KLIA2 over KLIA because of the newer condition. And the shopping mall in KLIA2 is better compared to high end shops in KLIA MTB.

Meaning asean flights rate stay the same. And also domestics. Only those far reaching flights affected. I believe those taking long haul flights beyond asean are not poor people. And the rates already applied to KLIA airlines. Suddenly when AK flights get the hike, everyone goes beserk...

Is it comparable to the capsule by container in KLiA2? Hope its sustainable. WBKK has been crying out loud for some kind of airport/transit hotel since forever. Its located so central that getting to the airport for morning rush hour flights is a struggle, even more so with the multiple flyovers being constructed in KK right now.

Nope.. you can use the MAS app on ios. I did a dummy for Mid January its rm98 to KUD and rm86 from KUD.. maybe the costly ones are those through SDK.
