You cant compare like that. Turns are AK's ops, where as MH has diff kinda ops. But the fact remains, both do clean toilets. Anyway, anyone has any idea what was MH cc's salary say in 1990 compared to now?

Exactly sir. How about homes, cars, taxes, EPF /CPF, Med, etc etc etc.....lets not get into a currency war. I would say having worked on both sides, RM is about 1.3 to 1.4 times more than in SGD. I think MH crew do clean their toilets as well. SO does SQ and other legacy carriers. If not how you think on a long haul flight the toilets are always clean and shiny.

Of cos comparison is not direct conversion. Example: in Sin say salary SGD2000 so compare woth the living cost in SIN and MY, roughly estimate SGD 2000 salary to be about RM 3,300. In that sense, taking living cost into factor. Yes MH pick up their crew. Yes some airlines you drive to work but you get paid in transport allowance. Now you cant compare MH to LCCs. Not apples with apples. LCC you also pay for type ratings.....

I cant understand why people keep thinking that computers fly the plane......it is like computers doing work for an accountant, or telephone doing the work of a telephone operator or the tyres doing the work of a bus driver. When has work been measured by the amount of strength a person puts in? Its just pure ignorant to think like that. Yes computers do help fly the plane in a way replacing the muscles of the pilot but not the brain of the pilot. Eg, If I dont type anything in mwings, there wont be anything.....Just plain bloody ignorant. and the reason why piloting looks so easy its because the pilot has already put in a lot of prep work at home.....
