Thank you Izanee for the quick response. But when did PIA first fly to KL? Their November 1972 timetable shows them flying to KL 2 times a week. Their 1970 timetable shows KL was not yet part of their network. So they must have started service to KL sometime in 1971. Am i correct? PeterYeong

Still trying to get a shot of eagleexpress (nas-air) 747. No luck so far. I am assured that it does come in. But when? No good checking the umrah schedules , not accurate. Very frustrated Peter

What I need to record, a cell-phone will surfice. But I have been given a Nikon for my b'day. Time to learn? Perhaps. The two that I really want to catch are : 9M-ACM & 9M-MCP. The Umrah sites all advertise " no- transit direct flights" But from experience, a flight could be "direct" but may not ne non-stop. Hi Laurie. Your are absolutely right. Alas, the VC10 tanker is no more. There may still be a couple of examples doing service as VIP transports ex Brize. But even these "Betty Specials" are no more now that her Maj is taking commercial flights. Re Umrah flights, the web-site for this (something T--- Travel) has a list of DIRECT flights!!!!! Que? Reply to Cheng Long re my commenys about "whom did they bribe" I have flown MAS more than a few times mainly business class. Satay is GREAT. Service also very good --friendly and efficient. ( But so is CX and EK. Sing is not so good service -wise anymore.) The rest of the MAS experience? Not good. Seats on Biz class are not true flat-bed. They incline, so after a while you slip down. Also narrow. Food is dismal after the satay. Choice is limited. Last neal : beef rendang - inedible Balek Pulau Lembau -tough as hell Sorry. But CX , SQ and EK do a beter job. Is this the reason MH no longer fle to Dubai? They cant compete. Do try EK Biz Class . The mezze which is only an appitiser is a meal in itself. 180 degree fuul flat beds. They are staggered so even with a window seat you dont have to climb ober your fellow pax to go to the lavatory. is EK also 5 star ? You bet

OK How much did they bribe? Now way can they compete with CX and SQ. Service is great ( well done the cabin crew) Satay is Ok rest? ai- yah. Portions small, standard of food loose to Emirates, SQ, CX etc.
