    Thanks so much for your reply. Will try CX lounge. Are we allowed to try both lounges?

     

    If u flying MH from KIX (Kansai-Osaka), u will get CX Pacific Lounge invitation. Been there last week, their crew lounge quite friendly and helpful, she preparing us halal foods upon request. In KIX another lounge for MH by invitation only was Asuka Lounge.

    How far could the brand name from Malaysia Airlines Bhd? MAS Airline? Coincidentally, the change from Malaysian Airline System to Malaysia Airline System was the start of decaying.

     

    Now registered as Malaysia Airlines Berhad. Registered office at Level 33, Tower 2, KLCC. Some of crew just received their termination letter by OldCo and at the same time (those lucky one) received their offer letter by NewCo.

    Enrich miles is MH's liability, will current Enrich miles migrate to MAB at a discount or if at all?

    It is a pleasure to write to you with the latest news of our restructuring programme as it nears completion. This programme was initiated last August to create a profitable and financially sustainable national carrier.

     

    We are happy to report that we continue to make good progress. It was announced today that MAS’s sole shareholder, Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), has appointed Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi of PricewaterhouseCoopers, as Administrator of MAS. The administration is a voluntary undertaking by Khazanah, Malaysia’s sovereign fund, and is backed by the Malaysian Airline System Berhad (Administration) Act 2015 (MAS Act) enacted by the Government of Malaysia.

     

    This appointment does not affect our daily operations or existing reservations. You can continue to make reservations in full confidence that our flights and schedules are operating as normal, that tickets sold will be honoured, and that our Enrich frequent flyer programme continues with Miles and status preserved.

     

    Under the MAS Act, the Administrator plays a critical role, which includes facilitating the transfer of selected assets and liabilities to a new company, MAB, which will replace MAS as Malaysia’s new national carrier. The appointment of the Administrator reflects the continuing and considerable effort towards the beginning of a new airline, MAB. We intend the transition to MAB to be seamless with no interruption to airline services.

     

    MAB will become operational on 1 September 2015, with a new business model and a new management team, which will be led by Christoph Mueller, CEO of Malaysia Airlines and CEO-Designate of the new airline. These upcoming changes will not have an impact on flights, schedules, or the Enrich programme.

    I just came back from SGN last week. I was traveling with a colleague of mine and we checked in together at the Business Class Counter. The staff at the counter mentioned that they can only give the access to the card holder because the CIP Rose Lounge is a 3rd party lounge...

     

    I tried emailing Enrich to get some clarification, which I can bring along the email if such situation occurs again, but have yet to get any reply

     

    Suppose during checkin at Business Class counter they will give u two voucher to access CIP Rose lounge, unless at that time might be already changed to a new policy if any.

    Just to check with those who has Enrich Gold... were you able to bring in a guest to the lounge (shared lounge) while you are in airport overseas and travel in economy class?

     

    I read through the benefits of Enrich Gold which states that we can bring in a guest to the lounge regardless of class of travel, but I had issues when I was in Delhi and Ho Chi Minh. The check in counter says only the card holder is allowed because it is a 3rd party lounge and I am traveling in Economy.

     

    So, I got confuse there....did I understand the benefits wrongly?

     

    You had issues to access lounge in SGN? May I know when it happend because I had no problem as Gold/Sapphire brought my partner for SGN shared CIP Rose lounge in (Sep 2013) & also in (Jun 2013) for Phuket (HKT) airport The Coral Executive lounge eventhough travelling on EY class.

    I met the ground service manager Mr. Mohd Hadi(Rayani Air representative) who attended the hash event in Melaka. They will start with 2 B737-400 (Retired MH 737) and commence flight in March 2015.

     

    In March 2015? Yup, rumours they will using previous MH's B734. I believe it's depends to how fast they will get an ASL to qualified scheduled flight operators by the MOT.

    I like the term able body...in my case...busy body...I would GLADLY assit a crew in opening the emergency exit...speaking of which...i might try MH upgrade on my Dec trip to KL...that is if I am offered...does it include access to golden lounge???

    I like MH's seat selection policy - but there's a very specific reason behind it.

     

    MH's policy of asking you to pay for selection means that you can actually get bulkheads and emex seats on booking. If you talk about "competitors" nearby, like TG and SQ, they don't charge, but they also block these prized seats off until check-in aka lucky draw session.

     

    I'll pay for the peace of mind, thank you.

     

    Yup, MH's seat selection policy is good but only pax unable to buy & select blocked (emergency row) seat even through online checkin. Emergency seat is my favorite and normally I prefer counter checkin so I can request for it. As FFP Gold/Sapphire member, I'm always lucky given emergency row when travelling in EY class even I don't request. :)

    The CEO was at MKZ today for the inaugural PEN-MKZ with press conference. Guess the load was too low to host an event haha..

     

    Yup, the CEO and OD's team busy with PEN-MKZ inaugural ceremony because in the same day another inaugural flight for new route MKZ-PKU was launched. Good news as announced by OD, Kota Bharu (KBR) will be 3rd new route from MKZ effective 22nd Nov 2014.
