I must say that yesterday celebration is awesome. Put aside that hot weather, we got a lot of good traffic yesterday. I'm sorry I can't join you guys for dinner. I have to get home early to prepare my newly constructed 1/200 scale tarmac and aerobridge since a friend is coming for photoshoot earlier this morning. I must say that it is nice to meet you all. Azahan, Ibrahim, Jonathan, Gavin, Simon, Chee Yong and others nice to see you all again. Pieter, Adrian, Samuel, Walter, Khaled, Fitri, and the rest, nice to meet you all for the first time. Here's how I do it. Preparation: I'm pretty much a last minutes packer as well. I spent the last 12 hours before head to the airport just for packing. Baggage: This depends on where i travel. If It's long route like LAX or any in the US, I will carry one big bag which will be checked in and one hand carry backpack with me. If nearby or domestic, I will carry one or two small bag or sometimes only with one backpack with no check in luggage. All my travel document will be placed in the inner pocket of my backpack. Getting to the Airport: Ever since I was 16, I start to travel on long or short flight all by myself. Since my parent in overseas, my grandma and my uncle the one usually send me to the airport. I'll be at their house like 2 days before my flight. Their house is like only 30 minutes away from KLIA. Usually, they will send me like 5 hours before my international flight or like 3 hours before domestic flight. The benefit for doing so is that I might get lucky and get an earlier flight and other then that, I like to walk around in the airport, especially lepak at anjung tinjau. Choice of Airline: When it comes to booking, if for international flight, I will plan and book early ahead like 1 or 2 months before i travel. If for domestic, normally i bought the ticket like 2 or 3 days before the flight. For me, I stick with MAS, and CX. For some reason, my family are not allowed to travel on LCC. Choice of Airliner/Airport/Frequency etc: I prefer transit flight, the more the better. To me, the fun of taking off and landing is the best part of flying. I'm the kind that like to at least set my foot on any new place i can go, at least at the airport. Frequent Flyer Program: I only uses Enrich by MAS and Elite Access by Continental. I got free upgrade to First class once on Continental. Check-In: Checking in is one of the part that I hate the most. Like KLIA or IAH, there's like hundred of check in counter so there's no problem to get in fast. But in LAX, sure they have hundreds of counter, but only like 5 are open at each row and one group of counter sometimes shared by two airlines. One reason why I prefer to be early at the airport. Onboard: Like always, i prefer windows seat if in First or Business class. But if in Economy, i don't mind any kind of seat because if window seat in EY, i have to wait until the passenger next to me to wake up in case i want to get up or go to the toilet. I don't carry any book with me if I'm traveling. It just make my bag heavier. I only carry a fully charged PDA loaded with games and MP3. Normally I don't watch any movies on the PTV because I'm not really a TV person, but if there's cartoon channel, that be ok with me. If flying on MH, normally I will switch to the games on the PTV. Duty Free Shopping: This is one of the most important part in every flight i take and every airport i visit. I must collect anything that prove that I've been there. Normally it will be models that on sale on board, or any t-shirt or pewter that has the name of the place that i visit or transit. Not to forget chocolate as well. Travelling in Group: The last time I travel with my family was when I was 9. Other then that, I travel by myself.

Not many airline nowadays still operating the 743 TAAG Angola will be phasing it out soon and replace with 772 South African, Saudi Arabia, Qantas, Surinam, Transaero and JAL are some of the few that still operates them. If I'm not mistaken, Air India is also still using it

Saudi Arabia uses almost all type of 747. I use to see their 743 approaching IAH, sometimes with an 747SP My dad use to fly on South African and TAAG Angola 743. Azuddin

Most are bragging on small things. Didn't they realize that operating the aircraft uses fuel, where fuel has to be dug out from deep below. This is one of the thing that no airline company can get away with.

I got express boarding everytime I fly Continental. Nothing much, if I fly economy class, I can get to my seat without any hassle. Azuddin

Good job KLM IMO, KLM 747 is one of the most beautiful looking 747 out there. The crown at the tail simply qualify here as queen. Also my main highlight when spotting at IAH. Azuddin

One of the reason why I never fly LCC. If fly medium cost or legacy carrier, they will still go on even if there's not many pax.

Nope. Every time I take a flight, I always be at the airport at least 3 or 4 hours early, and up to 6 or 7 hours early if International. I like to check in early so I can browse through or shop at the airport. I mostly done this at KLIA, LAX, IAH, ZHR and some other. In some case, when I'm check in early, the airline ask me if I want to go on earlier flight since there are more empty seat. When I get on board, there's only like 15 passenger. Got this a few times with MH and also a few time on CO and once on AF. in the Air France case which I got free upgrade to First Class, I was going to fly from CDG to ZHR. Flight is the only option for me to get out of Paris since there's a riot going on. My family was the earliest to get on board the A320. After my family and I got inside, there's another 2 passenger get on board and right after that they close the door. There's only 8 passenger on board. My family got upgraded to First Class for no charge since the FC is empty. Azuddin

I must be the black cat. Well, that delay is only 3 out of 34 flights I've been on. And out of that 34, 8 of them is a free upgrade to much earlier flight and 2 of them is a free upgrade to First class. 10 good luck over 3 bad luck

Here's mine Air India JFK-LHR Nov 1995 - Not much of terrible experience, the long boarding and push back delay that's all. There's 2 hours boarding delay. After we strap into our seat, there's about 1.5 hour delay push back. In the end, the meal is good, that's ok for me. America West Airline IAH-PHX Dec 2004 N902AW - I got a connection flight from PHX to LAX and it should be my first experience on 737-200. The problem is that the 757 i took from IAH has 2 hours delay. It's a medium cost airline, so I don't want to comment about the inflight service. When I arrived at PHX, I missed my flight to LAX and they have to put me on the next one, which is an A319. Malaysia Airline KUL-TPE-LAX January 2005 9M-MPO - There's one hour departure delay. One passenger across the aisle is shouting because his seat is broken and cannot stand upright position. The flight attendance offer me some beer due to the delay. The worst part, one of the overhead compartment about 2 seat in front of me fall off. We have a crosswind landing in TPE.
