  1. Didn't you read the earlier post or news, they about to take off and only then 4 crews rushed to the gate to ask to board the flight for their next shift.
  2. That's what I've asked earlier while United was being targeted, what about those authority/police who dragged Dr Dao off the plane, violently? Then later was said they were acting on behalf of UA in which UA condoned this action. The news conference is live now on CNN Facebook. The attorney has said till today, there's no call or any form of reaching out to Dr Dao and his family from Oscar Munoz or any UA rep. Wow...
  3. UA could pay Dr Dao for $1b for all the people could care but it won't earn the sympathy from many enraged people to fly with UA at this time. If you think UA's action was justified, continue to fly with UA and get ready to be booted with busted face and injury.
  4. How could they have the right when passengers already boarded and seated and about to take off then only to be "randomly" selected and removed? And this is sensitive and catchy, right? People might ask again.. what right? with violence?
  5. Indeed, an expert said this case ain't overbooking, obviously UA has no right to boot Dr Dao or any other passengers on board to accommodate their employees. It's illegal.
  6. Somehow this has to be resolved else it's leading toward discrimination. It's not an opened bidding.
  7. If the govt doesn't involve, who will involve to intermediate for the sake of consumers? Their business license is also granted by the government, too.
  8. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/12/travel/united-passenger-pulled-off-flight/index.html New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has called for suspension of overbooking. "Re-accommodating" passengers who have paid, checked-in, boarded, and seated for other passengers is ridiculous while "Re-accommodating" passengers for airlines like UA's employees are even more ridiculous and totally unacceptable! Yes, by right it's like that. But most report was said random and when the man asked why he was chosen, he wasn't given an answer and meanwhile, he gave his reason why he must be on that plane to reach his destination to catch his medical appointment with a patient.
  9. Yes that's correct. They need to accommodate for crews for a shift in Louisville and this was only made known after the plane was fully boarded by passengers. Since no one volunteered to give up their seats after compensation was increased from $400 to $800, they just randomly picked 4 unlucky passengers to be deplaned.
  10. I have no idea, i read on one of the news / comments on FB by one of the passengers.. couldn't remember which.
  11. The mood was very sour according to passengers, those 4 crews who came on board were booed by everyone and they were told they should be ashamed of themselves. Worst of all, the movie they chose to play on the plane was Manchester by the Sea...
  12. There are so many passengers on board to testify this and I'm very sure everyone on board would be siding him and able to tell the truth.
  13. While everyone targeting on United Airlines, what about the authority and police who acted violence to drag the passenger off? the Chicago Airport Police who dragged the man off got suspended. Chicago Police also the one who caused this ugly scene, unless their action were condoned and instructed by United! All in all, not just United has to pay for this, but the Chicago Airport police too!
  14. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/04/10/travel/passenger-removed-united-flight-trnd/index.html On CNN, a security officer is suspended for this incident. Probably the one who acted violence on this poor passenger. This won't go down easily.
  15. I was being informed on the FB social media where they need to remove a passenger to board a staff...
  16. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/04/10/shock-man-forcibly-removed-overbooked-flight/ This is really so ugly and shocking! Question, how do they pick who to be thrown out of the flight?
  17. Well I guess it's really depending on your luck and after the fiasco of the Muslim travellers being denied entry to US, from those who originally born in UK and Europe... I have a business partner shared the experience with me where there were C-level clients in Malaysia being invited to attend forum in US, with proper letter from the US HQ and Visa, one of the clients was also remanded for 2 hours in interrogation room. No reason at all, just 2 hours remanded and have to sit and stay quiet and be patient until he got cleared eventually...
  18. With or without Trump, US won't compromise their security. But the new US Presidency may add more fuss on the security.
  19. The rejection rate of US Visa for Malaysians is about 3% and mostly due to wrong filling of the application form. I have had mine done last year and it was smooth, I queued like 30 minutes for my turn to be interviewed and took less than a minute to be asked with 3 simple questions and to be told my visa was approved and passport ready to be collected next day. Well, I suppose if you follow the guidelines to fill up the forms accordingly, you would have your visa granted. But again a granted visa never guarantee your access to the US. I was made known Malaysia Govt has collaborated with US Govt and shared our data and hence US, namely FBI... CIA.. are able to access Malaysia data, our MyKad.. passports.. Suffice to say that the US borders would know who are the people will enter US today and if they found anyone suspicious, even before he or she boarding the flight or cruise or any method of transportation to US, the airlines or transportation company would be contacted to deny the boarding of the suspect.
  20. Last I know the call center was handled by Getronics.
  21. I haven't had a bad experience with OD yet and hopefully won't on my next flight in March when I fly KUL - KCH - KUL sector. I seldom flying AK on domestic routes nowadays due to their fares were very expensive compared to MH and OD. My first option would always be MH, followed by OD before AK.
  22. MK stopped its direct flight to KUL or non-stop flight?
  23. Is B777 a fuel efficient aircraft to deploy this route?
