  1. But remember to make our tourism products successful is not solely the responsibility of the government but also the people...
  2. Wondering if any aviation enthusiasts planning to be shareholder?
  3. We know Air Asia's foreign ventures are not making heaps of money, but I'm bit surprised to see that their Japan venture is faring worse than Peach and Jetstar.. It's like defeated in their own game.. Malaysia is still where they make the bulk of their profits but now it's underseiged by Malindo.
  4. Flights are just parts of the overall picture.. If there is demand, there will be more flights, if there is little demand, there will be little flights.. Sarawak Tourism will need to be more innovative. They have been offering tourists the same thing over and over again. Nothing new.
  5. KLIA Aeropolis is a good project. Right now, KLIA is in the middle of nowhere. Too far from anything exciting. Once the Aeropolis takes off, there is more one can look forward too particularly if on a long transit. A project this big will need cooperation from everyone to be successful.. fed gov, state gov and private sectors..
  6. That woman complained to some Guan Ming daily...How come suddenly Utusan's fault????
  7. Isn't this what they have been saying for a long time... Until they actually put in an order, nothing is certain..
  8. Yes to some extent, but they need to be more nimble in responding to challenges. The previous quarter they made a small operating profit, so it's a pity they slipped back into the red instead of maintaining the momentum. I also think they haven't really reaped the benefits of OneWorld alliance yet. Not enough top end passengers to keep profits coming in.
  9. My concern is actually the other way round. My personal preference is to fly MH. So naturally I like them to do better. With a fancy KLIA2 and if they don't adjust the airport charges accordingly (which they said already), it will be unfair advantage over MH.
  10. The airport looks too fancy one for LCC. It can put many airports to shame.
  11. Yea, but some people can't stomach hawker food. Will get diarrhea.
  12. Last time MH rural air service using twin otters, need to weight people together with their luggage too.. If too heavy, have to leave some luggage behind. Now I'm not sure whether they still do that or not as my hometown has been upgraded to ATR 72, but I would think this is still the case with twin otters.
  13. It's a chicken or egg thing. They need need money to improve their offering. To get money, they need customers, but customers only come if their offerings are good. So where to go from here? Anyway, fortunately for MH, there are still loyal customers. These loyal customers, who fly with MH through thick and thin should be duly rewarded.
  14. Actually how many of us will put money where our mouth is? When deciding which airlines to fly with, how many will put more weight for our flag carrier despite their flaws, in the hope that one day they will regain their shine among the best? Products and service enhancement will need money. No passengers mean no money.
  15. Some are quite valid comments. The hardware in MH is nothing to shout about. In their new 737, the legroom is tight, no headrest too. In A333 and A380, business class a bit outdated already. First class is run of the mill type. We all have ideas how their products should be, but in reality, money talks. If you don't have money for those products, you just have to opt for less. With MH making a bit of profit now, I hope things will improve further.
  16. I hope they will have more business class seats for the remaining of the A380s. The main criticism is that the current ones do not have direct aisle access to some.
  17. It's probably no big deal for them. I saw mothers let their children pee into KFC's sink twice. So next time if you are in fastfood chains in China and the water tap seems a bit odd, you may guess why.
  18. Errr..not really.. I only have a simple blog.. Never had to use that function.
  19. Great. It was probably the first time in their lives to see Enrich card and you showed it to them. We can expect teething problems to occur. I am still waiting for my double miles to be credited flying Qantas over the weekend. I will give it a good two weeks to see whether it will be credited or not.
  20. Nice.. I'm surprised there have been so little publicity considering the personality of TF.
  21. Agree... It may be less now but there are still East Malaysians who look up to those from peninsular, thinking that they are better. It's their prejudice against themselves. So as a result, their peninsular counterparts can score jobs or climb up the ladder easier.
  22. Agree, businessmen should be pragmatic.. To TF credit, he is one very pragmatic chap... I remember he said he hates Man U but when to sponsor them because it made business sense.. So likewise, he is a BN guy, but if PR wins, he will be pragmatic too.
  23. I don't think any public money is involved.. It's an Air Asia's initiatives, not Malaysia's gov... But TF has always been a strong supporter of BN as far as I am aware.. He even helped out during campaign period..
