Hi Vicknesh PS, hope you will have a enjoyable Penang trip soon! :)

Oh really? SS Lee, any idea why 9M-BBC is here? That day the helicopter departed out to Penang, George Town area then back to apron again within 10 minutes or so. I know there was helicopter sightseeing tour operated by Cempaka Helicopter sdn. bhd at Batu Feringgi on 31st August to 3rd September 2017 (next to Bayview Beach). Not sure if these 2 events somewhere inter-related?

And yes, I was excited able to spot the Mandarin 738. Nice livery indeed. :drinks:

That explains why the noisy sounds of choppers around Tg Bungah area during that time

Cool thanks... Just checked they had 2x A310-200 and 2x A310-300. One of their A310-200s and One A310-300 crashed in 1988 and 1992 respectively.

PEN-BKK route used to be flown by TG A310 in the past before being taken over by the old B734 and then by Thai Smiles A320

  3. They do have some flights, but there are really low in frequency.

Remembered trying to book a return flight on Malindo to MKZ. Could only get a flight going there, but cannot get one back.

OD to MKZ on certain days...Need to check...I always use OD when going to MKZ...but have to adjust my plans to their flight time

  4. Count yourselves lucky in PEN to have SOME foreign airlines. We in KCH are struggling to keep any foreign airlines going for more than 12 months. HX started HKG-KCH in May last year and now will fold up in Feb 2017! So pathetic for us! Our count of foreign airlines - a grant total of 3! Going to 2 after Feb! Haiz...... :lazy: :lazy:

KCH is way better than MKZ ...... :lazy: :lazy: .....After the OD flight....n that Indon Airline which I forgot the name....that's all for the day.....Unless it has changed now.

I remember taking MAS' 744 and Korean 330 into Penang many years back. I would think that they have the load factors for Penang. Nowadays, a lot of traffic is routed to KL first before going anywhere.

I remember taking KE from PEN-ICN route back in 2004 or 2005..........Dunno why after that they stopped.

BR also used to have PEN-SIN back in the late 1990s or early 2000s. I remember taking them in their A300s...Can't remember where they originate from.

Also GA used to have PEN-KMO but also stopped.....

  6. Till today I still don't get the logic of Malaysia Airlines buying new ATR 72-600 for Fireflyz and MASwings and yet after a brief operation, they decided to ground all 600 series and kept them in storage.

What...even FY 72-600 are in storage now ??.....
