  1. Hello everybody, I will be coming to Singapore on Staurday for four days. I am planning on doing some plane spotting at WSSS on Monday (29 March) or Tuesday (30 March) next week. Can anybody give me some advice on conditions there? I would appreciate any and all information I can get on good spotting locations and how to get there, security situation, equipment needed (lenses), best times of day to spot in Changi etc. Please write in reply to this post or send me an email (der-franti@arcor.de). Thanks a lot in advance.
  2. Hello everybody, I will be coming to Singapore at the end of March and again in the middle of April, and of course I would like to do some spotting at Changi. Any advice and information will be greatly appreciated, especially info on good spotting locations and how to get there, equipment needed (lenses etc.), and the security situation. Thanks a lot in advance and I hope to hear from some of you with some advice :-) Cheers, Peter
  3. hello everybody, just wanted to let everybody know that i am safely home in germany thanks to KLM i had a great time spotting in and around your home airport and i hope i can come back to malaysia and KL for more plane spotting some time. thank you very much to everybody in the malaysianwings spotting community for their advice and support, and a very special thank you to liew for sharing that afternoon of plane spotting with me. i have included another picture for you all... it's probably nothing very special for you being used to asian airlines, but i like the mood of the picture and was surprised how well it turned out. taken last night (17 April) before leaving on my flight home to europe. enjoy. peter
  4. hey everybody... had a great, hassle-free afternoon at the weather station... and liew - you are a fantastic ambassador for the malaysian spotter community... this one here is for you :-)
  5. hey everybody, i spotted today at the approach end of runway 32L. i was lucky, because the runway was in use for both landings and departures for quite some time. i was over by the red and white barrier shooting from the gravel mounds. several police cars drove by and nobody seemed to bother until after about 2.5hrs two police men showed up, wrote down my passport info and asked me to leave. police action seems to be quite random :-( damn... made me miss the departure of thai a346 and arrival of royal brunei a320... any ideas or advice on how to avoid getting in trouble? i will be back in WMKK/KUL for more plane spotting on thursday afternoon (will probably go to the weather station) and on friday all day (morning and evening). any advice will be greatly appreciated. especially i am wondering if the police reaction will change now that they have my passport data. will they be different if they catch me as a "repeat offender"? anyway - i hope to get in touch with somebody in the local spotting community. maybe someone would even like to join me on thursday or friday. you can also reach me by email at der-franti@arcor.de hope to hear from you all... peter p.s. please find a quick crop of one of the pics i shot today attached.... enjoy :-) by the way - the reg is VT-JEG (ex Jet Airways)...
  6. Hey everybody, I finally made it onto this site and into the forum here :-) I will be coming to KL in April and want to go plane spotting at Kuala Lumpur International. I am now wondering whether maybe some of you would be interested in joining me for a morning, afternoon or even a full day of spotting at KUL. If so - I hope to get a reply here. Or feel free to write me an email: der-franti@arcor.de I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Peter P.S.
