  1. And at this rate, soon my department gonna have 3 shifts instead of 2.
  2. Thanks for the tips Nick, I will do that Yeah the Nilai-LCCT bus doesn't operate between 12am-5am, so which means I have to go to work much more earlier for 3.30am shift and go home at 5am+ when the shift ends at 2am. If I really found a place to stay in Nilai. Sanjay: Thanks bro Haha Thanks bro, I guess patiences is the gem of all. Lam: Great info, but for those who thinking of trying Middle East airlines, it is better to focus trying to get in first and score all the interview, when you got hired, think about money still not too late. But money should not be your objective when you're going for interview. At least that is what I think.
  3. Irni: Thanks Kak Irni~~~ Kenneth: Haha It is still a Cabin Crew Thread coz there still going to be news about Cabin Crew intake to be posted here. TK: Thanks bro and also congrats to you and Mrs. TK. Jepen: Thanks bro for the compliment. No worries and I'm sure you will live your flying dream too. Brahim: Jom pi Teh Tarik and Spotting bila free hehe. (Lets go Teh Tarik and Spotting when free.) Edwin: Thanks and hopefully finally get to meet you for the first time in KL. Sam: Haha...it's only 3/4 came true until the job title infront become the word Cabin. Hihihihi Which dream your talking about?
  4. ChanCS, Kenneth T, Desmond: Thanks you guys!! I will gambateh!! Walter Sim: LOL! Hope to see you soon too!! Let's go spotting when we are free. Better ask Lim Lim he can have your baggage all carried onboard and place behind crew baggage Kekeke
  5. No wonder I didn't get asked to pay the RM5 at baggage check in last week. Soooo excited for the work challenge with a hint of fear, sending us off to work without training. Khaled, minta tumpang if got spotting when I'm free. (Which I doubt it with the holiday rush is coming up)
  6. Not sure coz they only brief me when I go take my Offer Letter. I asked them whether got training or not but they just ask me to bring 1) 5 pcs passport photo with red background 2) Xeroxed IC 3) 1 copy of Malayan Berhad's current acc book bearing name & acc no 4) EPF & Socso no 5) Self birth cert & parents IC and the rest will be later on... Unsatisfied so I'm currently try to call them back to ask about whether there is training or not.
  7. Haha yeah Gavin, Guest Service Assistant. Get my letter of Offer next Wednesday and report in at 18th Aug just in time for holiday rush.
  8. They just called me~~~~~ I GOT THE JOB~~~ What I need now is to look for a room to rent.
  9. Great advice Gavin. Thanks, I appreciate it. Gonna stop being tense about it.
  10. Ken, They do. Capt Azmir mentioned it before.
  11. It's ok Min Chun, try and try again. Don't give up. You'll get in eventually. Look forward to be your collegue one day in LCCT.
  12. Haha Kak Irni, thanks for the compliment. I understand, you're also busy with your own things. Haha the screen shot was made by Ewan at another thread, I just re-use it . Haha I'm still waiting AK to call me up to inform me I'm in or not on Ground Crew position. Tak dapat Cabin Crew, Ground Crew pun wallap je lah. (Didn't get Cabin Crew, Ground Crew might as well be.) Hopefully they call me up. I'm dying for it. Even though I have doubts at first with the 3.30am shift and how to commute to work and places to stay. I was informed about the MH Cabin Crew Position appeared in The Star few days ago by Khaled, Ian and Sri Ramani, I didn't know it is also available in Jobstreet.com until one of my friend informed me yesterday. I would apply it but I don't think I can't get it with the scar and all. Plus churned out quite amount of cash last month just for the 2 last minute AK interviews.
  13. Looks like KLIA interior........
  14. Haha Ariff, I doubt it was announced by the pilot coz they barely have the time to do the announcement with the workload and mountains of checklist they have to do pre take-off.
  15. Haha PM means Personal Message. Gavin Andrew David is our respectable forum admin and he did specifically stated we have to registered using real name at the Terms of Agreement prior to registering. Else, he would delete the account who failed to change their nick to real name. So the thing you should do now is to visit Gavin's Profile 'here'. Then at the left side of the screen just below his personal photo, click Send Message and compose a short message to him stating you want to change your account name from Jepen to your real name. You can have your name in full or just like me with first name stated and my last name as initial only if you want enough privacy. You also can use some other call-able name that close to your real name also. (Eg: Your name is Thomas Cheng, you can put fully Thomas Cheng or Thomas C. or Tom C. or Tommy C. or some call-able name you prefer such as Terry C. as long as we are not calling someone Mr. Jepensen Chart or Jubilee777. ) Lastly I hope you enjoy this forum and learn a lot of things here, get to know people and be friends with them. There is a lot awesome people hanging around this forum and there is quite a number of them are working in aviation industry Update: Cabin Crew position in MH can be applied through Jobstreet.com but must submit before 10th of August. Those who qualified will be informed through email to attend the interview and in the email will be also inform the interview venue, date and time, what things should bring along and what attire should interviewee wear. Be sure to submit your application to Jobstreet.com with photo or else your application will not be entertained. Good luck y'all.
  16. Hi Jepen welcome to MW , MW rule requires you to use real name in the forum, you need to PM Gavin your real name or preferred call-able name (that is not a nick) to have it changed. Regards to pilot position, kindly refer to the links below as this thread is for Cabin Crew position. And please do use the search function in General Aviation section to dig up past topics that have been discussed that regards to Pilot and Cadet Pilot position. And they are filled with a lot of infos. http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3137 http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4121 http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4482 http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8357
  17. Ouch 15KM?! That's quite far. Will try Nilai first since there is Nilai-LCCT bus avail. I thought there is 3 working shifts? With the last one end at 2am.
  18. This is what I heard and memorised on AK flights. English: Ladies and gentlemen, we will now demonstrate the use of safety equipment carried onboard this aircraft. Please give your full attention to the cabin crew in front of you. This is your seat belt. To fasten, insert the metal clip into the buckle and pull on the buckle strap to tighten the belt. To unfasten, lift the metal flap. Should the oxygen masks like these appear from the compartment above you, immediately pull the mask firmly towards you, place the mask over your nose and mouth, with the headband tightly around your head and breathe normally. You must place the mask onto yourselves before attending those under your care. Your lifejacket is under your seat. To use it, slip it over your head like this. Clip on the waistbands, and pull them tight. While exiting the aircraft, half-inflate the lifejecket by pulling the left tag. Fully inflate the lifejacket by pulling on the right tag only you have exit the aircraft. To further inflate your lifejacket, blow into these two mouthpieces. This light will come on automatically when the battery is immerse in the water and here is a whistle to attract attention. Emergency exits and escape slides are located on both sides of the aircraft. Please take note of the emergency doors and windows exit nearest to you. 19. Sam, which type of PA? Sound or script?
  20. Thanks Sri Ramani for the info. Anyone has the newspaper clipping or the details? Currently I have AirAsia Ground Crew card on my hand. Currently waiting for them to call me up and say "You're Hired" within this 2 weeks. I wonder where most AK ground crew stayed at since the earliest shift starts at 3.30am.
  21. Haha thanks MAR, I'm ok actually no biggies. AK is more laidback to get in compared to EK, EY and QR (and SQ) since they are looking for cookie cutters perfect Singapore Boy and Girl-ish robots. Flawless skin, good looking, nice baby powdered soft hands with no scar, great smile which I really at a disadvantage on these. So AK for me is the preliminary door to me to go in cabin crew field. For me EK, EY and QR are those interview that you will need be at least passble in SQ interview before attempting them. Or else I don't think they would even laid their eyes on you. Yeah EK, EY and QR is the place where the money is but I can't even get in AK, money is not really the top priority for me for now, just to get in to work as cabin crew is the one on top.
  22. Breaking News: I failed... yet again. Just came out from Shangri-La and currently at Sg. Wang. I got eliminated before the final preliminary interview. Either could be my scar or something else coz I read through the announcement card flawlessly. Ohh well it's an experience alright. I have to score the Ground Crew interview no matter what. or else my trip is going to be a total waste. Anyone else went to the interview today?
  23. I had to extend my stay at KL next week coz AK just called me this afternoon to attend an interview on 30th of July for Ground Crew position. RM75 penalty for changing date from 28th to 31st July on KUL-LBU sector. At least it is still more cheaper than buying another return ticket.
