  1. Curiosity just got the best of me today :pardon: :yahoo:

Anybody knows which private aircraft are used regularly in Malaysia? (dosent need to be registered with 9M xxx :) )

    beauties such as N9999M

also, who uses VP-BEM ? searches just link back to a holding company :p

just naming a few planes 1st, in case this topic is unappropriate. Mods please feel free to delete if it is :sorry:

  2. T5 isn't the only high profile project in the UK that suffers from a PR disaster - there are London Eye, Millenium Bridge, Wembley stadium.... :(

I do have some symphaty on British Airways, the public seem to be pointing fingers at the airline. BAA is partly responsible too, and they are not the greatest airport operators around.

Not to mention their disastrous rail "upgrade" project

Delayed for a couple of months now , causing us to change trains frequently/ cram carriages <_>

  3. However, their meals are getting worse. it is embarassing for an asian airline to serve up meals like them. Even PIA have tastier food. i experienced it on my LHR-KUL flights. very very disappointed as that is one of the reasons i flew with MH

Routes to LHR were once where the best service was served onboard MH. 4 years ago , I used to be able to get 4 hot meals and cabin crew dispensing ice-cream twicedruing a flight! now in 2008 , the 2 meals they serve look unappetising, no more classy metal utensils, n worse off ... no nasi lemak

Even EK serves beef rendang and nasi lemak on their UK routes :help:

the contents of MAS Wings snackboxes are also quite inconsistant (sometimes hv fruit, sometimes not)

  4. if the ac were to hit turbulance the pax is unsecured and may injure himself. That is why even when the fastern seat belt sign is off, you are still requested to have it fasten for just this reason. In a decompression he would be too low to reach the O2 mask that is if he hasn't been sucked out of the plane already.

hmm ... good point there , dint think of it that way sir:)

but just a rebuttal (in the name of fun :p )

would there be turbulence at cruising attitude ? (around or above FL330) . And if the scenario of decompression is taken into account , couldnt the same be said of MAS which allows those below 175cm to be seated next to the emergency exits during take off's and landings?

  5. Stick to the Asian Meal if buying prepaid. Kids meal OK. Exchange rate for $AU to RM poor on plane & also at OOL , best to prepay for food and change $ when you get to KL. FAs friendly for budget airline - on the way back, they let me sleep on the floor between the centre seats.

probably because the chap was travelling with children ?

and he/she might hv let the child sleep lying across the row ? :pardon:

and I wouldnt think of it as a safety hazard as the person was sleeping in between 2 rows of seats ?:)

  6. Looks like flying schools are mushrooming in Malaysia.....

yes they are.....but i wonder what happened to the one tht was suppose to be open in bintulu? got any link to the website?

just back from Bintulu airport ... and saw that they we're constructing a single story block that's suppose to be their classrooms

(no planes yet for now  )

  7. Anyone know what has happened to site of old BTU ? If it is so near city/town centre, must be quite a valuable piece of real estate.

Now it's just an empty piece of land . Normally used for events/ fairs [eg;Kite Festival]

Other times can take ur car to play a lil drag racing :p because there's no gate and nobody guarding the place.
