  1. I heard from the BBC Broadcast that they are doing it for every body that comes into the airport.
  2. I wonder if Malindo will be getting all of the 739 orders or they will dip into the A320s as well.
  3. Oh this one is just the N'Ex ticket. no Suica in the package
  4. Yeah. Not holding my breath yet. But it fits their point-to-point system to a T. I do agree on this. Just that the timing from the airport to your accommodation that is NOT a major hotel can be problematic. Eg: Went to Tokyo a couple of years ago. Landed 10:30, passed immigration + luggage its already 11pm. Got on the second last monorail from Haneda to Hamamtsucho (which coincidently is where the Pokemon Centre is in Tokyo FYI), then train to Ueno for my lodging. Arrived there - boom, its 12am, and everything is closed. Wished that the transport service that AirAsiaGo used to offer is still in offer. NRT is also easy to access now - N'Ex is only 1500 yen one way, instead of 3K yen. But that is to Tokyo/Shinjuku.
  5. Was discussing about it on twitter just now. I managed to log into the system and checked out the NRT timings thanks to the Big Card one day special.. Its as follows: KUL-HND-KUL KUL-HND 14:30-22:30 HND-KUL 23:45-06:10 KUL-NRT-KUL KUL-NRT 00:55-08:45 NRT-KUL 09:45-16:45 The best time to go to Tokyo is KUL-NRT and HND-KUL for me. You get an early morning arrival, and then the latest departure. I also asked Azran if that itinerary is possible. He said they are working on it.
  6. http://www.kwch.com/news/local-news/train-carrying-737-fuselages-derails-in-montana/26803140 Woah - that is easily a few million in the river there. Looks painful - I wonder how does this effect the delivery schedules?
  7. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/06/27/Tony-Fernandes-quits-Twitter/ He did it. Tony Fernandes is off the grid. Wow - never thought he would do it.
  8. But then the waiting hall is now an open space right? with seats outside of the holding area? Or am i wrong? Haven't had the chance to try airside KLIA2 as yet
  9. Wonder how having Navitaire will innovate to compare with Sita? Curious to know.
  10. Anyone has a heads up on which destinations is assigned to the 734s? Want to see if i can catch a flight on the 14th.
  11. MULTIMEDIA Development Corporation (MDeC) chief executive officer Badlisham Ghazali(pic) has resigned and will be taking over as managing director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), which has been facing public scrutiny over the escalating costs and delayed opening of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2). The contract of current MAHB managing director Bashir Ahmad Abdul Majid, who has been heading the company since 2003, expires tomorrow (June 6). The company is expected to issue a statement to Bursa Malaysia by 5pm today. MAHB, which manages nearly all airports in Malaysia, has 10 subsidiaries under it. It is 40.2% owned by Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the Malaysian Government’s investment arm which operates under the Ministry of Finance. http://www.digitalnewsasia.com/digital-economy/mdec-ceo-badlisham-quits-to-take-over-beleaguered-mahb ~~~~~~ Wonder how Badlisham will settle into his job after running MDEC.
  12. Ah. So our car loans is a form of financial leasing. In the end of the lease the company gains a net asset if they are on financial - and a 50/50 chance if operational?
  13. Anyone can explain what is the difference between having a financial lease as opposed to an operational lease?
  14. I think there are a few end-pier parking spaces for overnighters. Plus across the Q gates are also parking right? Google maps havent updated their imagery so cant see it from a birds eye view.
  15. Man - some of the shots are impossible unless you have a ticket. Good pictures though!
  16. Actually its the other way around. The AK kiosk came in first - then the SITA appeared. On the other hand this is great for those who has minimal luggage. Or Luggage is set to the side.
  17. Some wide shots from 32L today: 9M-MTM coming in from KIX The special of the day - B-LNW coming in from HKG.
  18. An update to the self check-in kiosks - now the SITA terminals are side-by-side with AK's
  19. Saw this in the mezzanine level right infront of the Nanny's pancake shop. Also saw it near the Gateway starbucks outlet. This is how the big Red will draw away people from using the SITA terminals huh?
  20. The K pier, with Runway 15 activated. 9M-LNL coming into the apron to park. You dont always get this set up - J K L docked at the same time, side by side. A nose shot just because i could 9M-LNL finishing her push back, while 9M-AFT preparing to take off. On the J pier, I saw this new addition on the Tarmac apron. If you checked Jahur's pictures above, it wasn't there on the 21st! I took this yesterday (23rd). MAHB at least is working fast. See the re-inforced parking in action.
