Do we have any dates for AK's first birds?

Thanks for the positive feedback. Just FYI, the whole video was recorded, edited, rendered directly from my Samsung Galaxy S7. (flight mode on obviously) The gimbal? My hand There is enough space around the window for a suction cup, but as noted here, some airlines frown on that. If you want to get a camera, the new Go Pro 6 helps thanks to the OIS, or the smaller mirrorless cameras that has OIS. iPhone 8/X and Galaxy S8/Note 8 have great OIS tho.

Got to share my own video of my short trip with the A350 - sorry for the plug My takeaways: - That Y+(?) section is small, but i can see people wanting to pay for it - I like the fabric used on the seats - The Android-based IFE is usable. But silly there is no tail-mounted camera. - Huge windows are huge. My forehead rests on the window itself when I lean on it, rather than the bulkhead on other planes. - The best thing about the plane - it is very quiet. Similar decibel levels i think to an a380, and just a tad quieter than the 787. I flew with an a320 back and oh man, the sounds in the cabin sungguh meriah (from the hydraulic pumps and whatnot)

AirAsia Group/AirAsia X Group Service Changes

Nah - their planes dont have the stamina to go 11 hours, much less 18. What i envision is that they will be leveraging on Japan - the Japanese loooooves Hawaii. We may see either of the following routes as part of their entry into US: KUL - HND - HNL KUL - KIX - HNL KUL - KIX - GUM KUL - NRT - HNL Basically Japan will be the secondary spoke for US operations. Well, unless they pick up a few 777 for their long distance flights. -
Oh my. We may get the special painted ANA planes afterall!

Airasia tyre burst incident at KLIA

Ah. No wonder Runway 33 was closed until like early evening. -
https://www.instagram.com/p/BNjGSdihqtm/ A post by Benyamin Ismail on Twitter and instagram of AirAsia branding at Tokyo ComicCon. What caught my eye is the NB airbus on the art - it looks to be an a320/321 - but with AirAsia X c/s This may just be for the benefit of the show event - or is it a sign of things to come?

Good god. The AK/D7 ladies would need super long hands (or selfie sticks!) to reach to the window passengers :D Does it need to be a B77W tho? Especially when they can load it up with the light Mirus seats? -

Thanks for the except from CA Flee. Interesting indeed. So the 777 news may not be too far fetched afterall. Also June 2017 - Hawaii, but with the president-elect , will we have problems going to Hawaii? Or this flight will be mainly a Japan-centric marketing idea. -
Unusual Aircraft-Gate Assignment at KLIA
Sharil Abdul Rahman replied to Alif A. F.'s topic in General Aviation
Actually the 777 was with the Olympians. The Paralympics luck was that they got the a380 for the flight. EK346 was operated by A6-EEL yesterday. The paralympians were sitting at the front economy cabin, just behind 1L. If the live feed yesterday was correct - that was a normal C gate. Not sure which gate was it though. Bunga Raya only received the paralympics - not the whole plane. -
Captured these two with my smartphone. 9M-MXL doing the daily SIN-KUL run 9M-MTL doing the daily NRT-KUL run.

AirAsia X Hires Australian Cabin Crew
Sharil Abdul Rahman replied to Kris Kim's topic in General Aviation
While the two new hires from OZ are the current stars of D7, this piece of news is quite newsworthy - at least for me: So, possible option than Cairns, which is the closest 'big named city'? -
Qantas to Fly Non-Stop Perth to London with B787-9

Sounds so like a clickbait title Many would like to have a single trip than multiple stop trip to Queen's land, from Queensland. -

Perhaps their route planner jumped the gun? Even so, this may just pave their way back to UK with multi-stop itineraries. Can (on paper) the A330neo do 15 hours non stop to London? -

Wonder if the Max9 can support MINT-like cabin up front. Not sure if it is economically and MTW feasible though.
