  1. VH-OJF ready to departure. Terminal 1 central apron is very nice for night shoots. The only complain is that after each session of night shooting, my back is painful. KLM blue is fantastic esp at night. I couldn't resist getting a shot of her, even with the lamp post. Full zoom @ 210mm, no edit, only resize. Both pics are taken on 8/9/06, my last day of spotting in SIN. So far all pics are straight from camera, only some cropping and resizing.
  2. I'm sad to tell u that coastal road spot will be gone early next yr. By that time, they'll double fenced it, so no more chances of photographing there I think there are plans to repaint JetStarAsia into JetStar but i hv no idea about the timeline. So, what i do now is to shoot every JetStarAsia before they are gone forever.
  3. Somemore... 9V-SGE going to Jakarta. SQ c/s looks good on the A345. All SQ in the pic - 4 B777 and a Jumbo. The tightest shot of my trip. Learned from the "sifu" there.
  4. I guess i'm just being lucky, spot for 5 days non-stop, only see 9V-SPP once, 9V-SRE once and 9V-SYE twice. So difficult to get those star alliance. Changi beach is indeed very nice when there's great evening sunlight. During my stay there, only 1 evening with good sunlight (the day i shoot the EK B773 with the moon). Hope u can get 9V-SPP as well when u go there next Feb. Pieter, Thanks for the info. Seletar got some interesting traffic and never knew that AirAsia have their maintenance done there.
  5. Somemore shots from coastal road. 9V-JSB only used a small portion of runway 20C to get airborne. To all Tri-holers lovers including me..... D-ALCA blasting off from runway 20C. Very cute Indian Airlines baby bus..... VT-SCD A319 More to come soon...
  6. You guys are having so much fun Love all the pics esp the candid ones. Imran, Nice and sharp pics. Love the nose shots of SQ.
  7. Somemore.... SQ c/s in sunlight is very good. Dubai Air Wing B737BBJ came in for the IMF conference. PR A333 with the moon below the nose gear. QF B744 on finals. I dreamt everyday in S'pore with the hope to get Wunala Dreaming but it proves to be day dreaming Bombardier BD-700 Global Express on finals. Should be in for the IMF conference. Hope u guys enjoy...
  8. Sneeze, If it's not O*** H***, then where is the spot? It's a wonderful location with terminal as background.
  9. Sneeze, Nice pics from HKG . How many mms do u used for these shots? Did u go to the observation hill to take these shots?
  10. After a week's of busy schedule, finally got some free time to post this week. B-HLG for Sneeze. PK-GPD on finals runway 20R. For all Garuda lovers. HS-TAY with the "King's emblem" For Imran, A6-EMQ, used to have the World Cup 2006 logo. For Uncle Pieter. PH-BFV, City of Vancouver on finals over Changi Beach. For all BA lovers. G-CIVZ in great evening light.
  11. KC, Very nice shot of Oasis HK entering runway 20C . TK, That B727-200F is XU-RKF of Asialink Express Air with Royal Khmer Airlines title. It's parked there everyday when i'm in SIN for a week.
  12. Around 80mm, after x 1.5 crop factor is 120mm. For exactly side on rotation of B744 AND B773, 70mm is enough. Hmm, kampua mee, italian style? or just the simple Sibu type ?
  13. More from SIN... SQ Jumbo taking off from runway 20C. No trip to SIN is complete without the SQ B772ER which are sooooooo mannnny. VT-JGE on finals, taken from the beach. JA606J with VT-AXF "Taj Mahal" Two of the world's most recognisable red tails. Hope u guys enjoy, will post more once i got time.
  14. Azahan, Your nose shots are so good . Edwin, Good catch of PIA B742 .
  15. Pieter, Yes, it's taken from the changi beach. Poor trees there, shake a lot whenever a plane lands. It's 116mm multiply by 1.5 crop factor = 174mm.
  16. Feeling better today but still not fully recovered yet. Anyway, took up Chaity's advice...... edit sunny shots 1st. Never get tired of her. Such a difficult plane to catch. For a week of spotting @ SIN, only saw her on 6/9/06 (Wed). One more shot of 9V-SPP, gears retraction in progress with anti-collision light. Er.... I think i got Star Alliance addiction. Just couldn't get enough of them. 9V-SQG takes off while 9V-SPP is taxiing to Terminal 2. For Uncle Pieter, PH-BFI "Jakarta" on finals runway 20R. Check out those huge engines. 9V-SGE coming back from CGK at noon time. TC-JDN on finals runway 20R. KUL used to have Turkish. I think they pull out starting yr 2002, if not mistaken. Still saw them around in Nov 2001. Hope u guys enjoy.
  17. More pics.... Air Sahara B738 at gate D30. PK-KKA taxiing into the central apron. Adam Air sent in KKA everyday. Nice background - Air Hong Kong A300F, UPS B752F, FedEx MD-11F and 2 Atlas Air B747F (1 of them is in all white with Atlas Air marking. Martinair came in early on rainy day. Gulfstream V came in with Kuwait's Prime Minister. "Change for Good" came in on 6/9/06 Wed. F-GSQH, beautiful light. XU-U4C PMT Air Cargo An-12. Can see her approaching from far b'coz of the black smoke trail. VT-AXF "Taj Mahal" with AK "Scotch", Royal Khmer Airline in the background and also the tail of Turkish A343. I'm sick today. Will post more once i get well. Hope u guys enjoy.
  18. Went to S'pore for 1 week holiday. Thanks to KC for accompanying me almost everyday. There are so many pics from 5 days of consecutive spotting, so will take a while to edit. Here are some of the highlights: Air India Express B738 with winglets VT-AXF "Taj-Mahal" came in 3 times during my 1 week stay. "Moomins" also came in 3 times during that week - OH-LGF once and OH-LGB twice OH-LGB parked at gate D34 at dusk on 8/9 (Fri). This shot is dedicated to KC, thanks for the company ad hospitality. "Angkor" with "Moomins" and also the tail of "Taj Mahal" "Taj Mahal" on finals runway 20R. Shot taken from the beach. Mr Star Alliance "Papa" taxiing to T2 via south cross after landing on runway 20R. SQ flying pencil star alliance taking off from runway 20C. Hope u guys enjoy. More to come tomorrow.
  19. There's some demonstration on the loading of weapons for F-16 around noon. By the way, anyone knows how heavy is the missle? F-16 after missle loading. The vehicle in front is used for loading the machine guns. Hope u guys enjoy.
  20. Some more pics to share... Sunset over 3 classic plane and helicopter. Taken in the morning, hence a bit backlit. In the foreground is the F16D+ and in the background Charlie 130 with troopers in action. Chinook dropping off a jeep onto the taxiway. Very lucky to get the anti-collision light. More to come...
  21. Actually those seats are still ok, at least it has plenty of legroom. Some more pics Taken after the joyride. The copilot and somebody from the jumpseat is looking at me. 1st F-16 taxiing in with sister plane behind. The pilot is looking towards my direction. Is the pilot name written on the side of the cockpit? If yes, then his name is Capt David Lim.
  22. More pics....... My seat. This is really cattle class with the netting type of seats but i'm not complaining. I think he's the flight engineer, please correct me if i'm wrong. He was standing there from start till end of the joyride. Can u notice anything different of me? The priceless view of S'pore City from C130, but the windows are full of scratches. One more pic of the interior. The door started to open even we are still taxiing on the apron. What a unique experience. This joyride is really fun esp for me as a M'sian onboard a RSAF aircraft. Many thanks to Yong Kiet and KC for making this joyride possible for me.
  23. Sorry for posting late. Came back from S'pore on 9/9 but still got many things in office. Only got free time to go through my shots today. I'll post something not covered by TK, KC and Kwek. The joyride on C130. Walking slowly to board the plane. Yong Kiet on the furthest left. View from my seat towards the rear of C130. Powerful air-con, can see the mist. Free time to move around even when the plane is climbing. View from rear. No windows are vacant. View from front. More to come soon.
  24. Really shocking news I always think that SIA wouls acquire B787. However, a great start to the A350 XWBs programme. Also good news for spotters as we'll get 19 A330-300 in SIA colour scheme for almost 2 years .
