  1. During same event (APEC) took place at Kuala Lumpur about 11/10 years ago,if I can remember correctly, US sent their Boeing VC-25A (747-2G4B) to Malaysia that time but I sure the callsign was not Air Force One since onboard was former Deputy President, Al-Gore.I can remember because at front page of Migguan Malaysia (Malaysia weekend newspaper) had an article of head government aircraft with pictures as well.
  2. I had no idea how power the jet blast till house/squatter damage due to it...The Star newspaper yesterday had pictures of damage but not really clear..here the story.. ****** USAF Fighter Jet In Tactical Flight Causes Damage To House KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- A house in the vicinity of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Butterworth, Penang, suffered damage following a tactical flight by a United States Air Force (USAF) F-15 Eagle fighter jet last Wednesday, the RMAF said on Saturday. The plane is one of eight USAF fighter jets participating in the Cope Taufan 2009 exercise along with RMAF aircraft from Nov 9 to 20, said RMAF public relations officer Maj Kamarulzaman Ali in a statement. He said the incident happened soon after the plane had taken off from the air base at about 3pm. The RMAF and USAF were identifying the actual cause of the incident, taking into account the applicable safety instructions as well as the need to make improvements if necessary, he added. The F-15 fighter jets are stationed at the United States air base in Kadena, Okinawa, in Japan. In BUTTERWORTH, housewife Jennifer Yong, whose house in Kampung Paya Terbakar was nearest to the runway, told Bernama those living in the area were used to vibrations from aircraft taking off and landing at the base. "But this time was different, the whole house was shaking and I felt that something had flown off my roof. I ran out and saw the roof over the dining room was gone and there were cracks on the wall," Yong, who has lived there for more than 23 years in her half-wooden half-brick house. Tang Chen Moi, 22, a tenant in a nearby house, said the roof of her kitchen was blown off. "At about 3 pm, I saw a jet take off and I noticed it was a bit low, about tree high, and the roof at the back of the house was shaking," she said. Penang State Executive Councillor Lim Hock Seng said the squatter area had 250 families and the Federal government had previously offered the residents compensation of RM25,000 for each house on the government-owned land. But the state government felt it was too little and a settlement was still pending. 7. Yes there lots of hangar along SZB's runway these day. But the one on your 6th picture I have no idea if the same structure still standing. Could be this one, Since T1 no longer there and government aim Subang become hub of MRO in this region, then another hangar can be seen. Transmile hangar Cessna Citaion Hangar and Berjaya Air hangar Behind these hangar is MAS Catering facility perviously I guess, same as your 8th photo. Had no idea hangar belong to who but most of MASwings F50 in that hangar. After the hangar 01 on picture above is access road/taxiway to the cargo complex and MAS's hangar. SZB AFRS, just behind T2 All pictures above were taken on Jul 09. anybody know where is former T1 boundary located? The BA UK-KL-Aussie route somewhere around mid 80's, base on NetGeo Air Crash Investigation show.
  8. Thank you so much Mr Rozhan for your effort to scan, re-upload the photos and share the memories back. I really appreciate it. Nice to see the old photos especially last photo and the BA at KUL during that time. I believe the BA made a stop at KUL for London and Aussie route and vv right? BTW where the hangar (at photo #6) located? It is between T1 and T2 or located at Kompleks A (now MAS Headquarter office)? Does somebody can recall back when the cargo complex at Subang was open? Thank you.

The logos on fuselage; Left:Air National Guard & Right:Pacific Air Forces 7.34m height and 48.49m length from nose to butt. Airborne, takes about 2 football field to take-off Even with empty cargo and less fuel,, but the power of to take-off in short distance admire me... 2 minutes later 10 minutes later $218 million (as in year 2007) toys just 200m from me Friendly crews...The right seat pilot is lady 15th Airlift Wing 154th Wing Hawaii Air National Guard 5147 is for Air Mobility Command markings.
