  1. AF to KUL,just a rumour at best for the moment. Jakarta post the only one media to report it have pulled out the article from the net.
  2. With the termination of the joint business agreement between British Airways and Qantas following the new alliance of the Australian carrier with Emirates, Malaysia Airlines is likely to fill up the empty seat on the Kangaroo route for British Airways. With better possibilities for the British carrier to be back in Kuala Lumpur... BANGKOK-The announcement of the Qantas/Emirates partnership and the termination of the joint business operation on the strategic “Kangaroo route” (UK-Australia) between British Airways and Qantas is likely to make one airline happy: Malaysia Airlines. The Malaysian national carrier has already been well positioned to capture traffic from London to Australia and New Zealand. The airline flies twice daily of London, including one daily frequency conducted in its brand new Airbus A380. The A380 flight was launched in June but upgraded to a daily frequency two weeks ago. In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Airlines proposes up to eight daily connections to Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. Connections via Kuala Lumpur will become even more attractive from November 26, Malaysia Airlines will start daily 'A380 all the way' flights between Sydney and London via Kuala Lumpur from November 25 when MAS will also run its Airbus 380 on flights MH122/123 to Sydney. Connections on the Kangaroo Route is likely to gain significance following MAS official integration to Oneworld before the end of the year. MAS will then look like the most suitable partner to replace Qantas in Singapore for British Airways. It might even pave the way for BA to reconsider a reopening of its operations to Kuala Lumpur, a destination it used to fly until the late nineties. The airline could first set up a code-share with MAS before being physically present again in the Malaysian capital. Ironically Qantas possible replacement by MAS for British Airways was fostered by the Australian carrier which sponsored the candidacy of Malaysia Airlines into Oneworld global alliance. Malaysia's First A380 Touches Down in KL International Airport on May 30,30 May 2012. The airline has an order for six Airbus A380 offering a configuration of 494 seats comprising 8 First Class and 350 Economy Class seats on the main deck and 66 Business Class and 70 Economy Class seats on the upper deck. 3. Hey guys let be proffesional. This is a chat forum and it is no use getting all excited and over worked. And Aiman please do not post me anymore personal messages to my e mail as I dont know who you are. This is what I received from him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aiman Arif has sent you a new personal conversation entitled "kecoh". LU??
  4. Looking to the future, will MH introduce Y+ on the A380 sometime? On the other matter that attracts a lot of debate is the refurbishment of 777 cabin. That cabin interior has been around since 90's (Y class) and looks really dated. 3 years is a long time in this aspect. In my opinion, they should refurbish it to standardise the products offerings and if they do then I would rather hop on MH 777 than SQ 777-200.Until then i will always ensure that my trip is on SQ77W ex CHC/AKL. Hey its a bussiness and you hv to spend money to make money.Does anyone think the the cabin shouldnt be refurbished? And knowing MH 3 years means more like 4 or 5!
  5. This would have been a good marketing point to earn extra revenue and it would hv beaten SQ Y hands down if u had to pay a few quid more, everyone would. It would be taken up all the time! Current MH management is naive at best. This would have brought them in align with QF,hence one world. MH union is a lazy bunch of people who do not want to work extra and hence feel the threat from red's.b cos thats the way they have lived their life for years wit MH. On one blog there is so much of anger that Pariah, next mas exployee/union member also refers to TF as that pariah. Wow I would stop sending my planes there too!
  6. jumbo's wil plrobably be sold n 744 pilots? worry not mate, pilots wit that many hours wil get jobs easily around the globe.if they are "locals" then probably transfered to 388 as per the crew on the first flight to LHR.
  7. sad to see J class not fully flat. One just have to look at the pics of the qatar 787 to see how the outside color scheme is incoperated inside, seat belts are all the same color as the livery color and also nice additions of swoops inside of the same color. MH interior colors for F class is rojak. Red borrowed from AK. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Qatar-Airways/Boeing-787-8DZ-Dreamliner/2131658/&sid=491b693643719afb61c077ec8c9fc47e
  8. IS there a self service bar on MH A380 like QF? http://www.airliners.net/photo/Qantas/Airbus-A380-842/2088206/M/
  9. They go back home and continue cooking.
  10. what a great idea. Cheers MH on this one.But still Should have been premium Y on top.
  11. LCC Bdd habits creeping in to preminum carriers. LCC bad habits creeping in to premium carriers.
  12. http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/6340030/Rob-Fyfe-quits-Air-NZ-mum-on-future
  13. Maybe upper deck is reserved for datuks and tan sri's only for that flight!
  14. I agree with you on this point,Josh. But right now MH really have to come up with a superb bussiness class product if they tend to do away with Y+. Its strange that while most of us think that they should introduce Y+,the management of MH has decided otherwise.Hope they change their mind.
  15. . Honestly I would still rate TG,QF,SU,LH,SN,NZ,SQ above MH based on experience. And MH above JQ.
  16. As for the generalisation that MH business class is inferior to all the StarAlliance carriers, have you actually travelled on some of those airlines? Its irrelevent to compare american carries with malaysia airlines. I compared bussiness class of MH with SQ ONLY nothing to do with UA.and SQ being part of an alliance, that adds advantage.Thats what I meant. And yes I have flown with most airlines,AA,BA,LH,SN,QF,JQ,NZ,TG,SU to name a few in Y, BC,F.The american conterpart fared the worst.
  17. Really stupid of them to do away with Y+. They wont fill their Businnes class as its way too inferior to SQ and star alliance. The way to go was Y+. In between air asia and SQ. upper deck as Y+ would have been an instant hit, instead of Y. Another reason was if they are serious about one world, they would have Y+ as BA and QF. Seems like MH never makes any right decision.
  18. If its only a bit further, wont an underground train like MRT be great. only one KM.
  19. Why dont compare? they both started at the same time. Same location. Like it or not its the governerce.that's why not in same league.Dont find excuses. Now that u understand, still not too late, what are you going to do about it? On another matter we should all be proud of what air asia hs done for malaysia.not have ill feelings about it for personal reasons.
  20. They should have at least 6 or 7 bays with aerobridges for other customers like jetstar and likes. Hopefully they will have a roof where the AA A320 will taxi under and so no rain/sun issues.
  21. They are all australian based a/c and there are no A330's based in NZ.They all carry australian registration, VH.
  22. The A330's flights that you mentioned are operated by Singapore based crew, not Aussie or Nz based crew. Hence the term based in Singapore.
