  1. I think the title of your thread should be changed, as it misrepresents the content of the article. Also, to respect the multicultural diversity of members, please provide a summary in ENGLISH so everybody can 'enjoy' the news. Where did you get this from?
  2. OT Looks like he'll follow the 'Halim' route... /OT
  3. With such a blatant misuse of resources being publicized, I wonder why people continue to waste their time protesting over "Muslim shufflers" and "Camry's" instead of focusing their efforts on preventing such an unnecessary 'dream' from coming true...
  4. Re: That starbucks... Be warned that the staff, have no idea what BISCOTTI's are... Me: "Yeah, I'd like one of those chocolate Biscotti's please..." Staff:" Eh? Biskut Hati?"
  5. During the summer months, yes. They were deployed on extra flights. However now that the heavy demand experienced during summer months has subsided, the usage of A332's into KUL are due to equipment scheduling changes.
  6. My system shows that EK are operating the A332's three times a week up till March or something...possibly due to equipment reshuffling caused by the A380 troubleshooting squad's recommendations.
  7. I have to change my pants..... MD11 nose-on shot OMFG
  8. Looks like Sheikh Mo's in town sigh..memories...
  9. The new terminal (T3) is exclusively used by Emirates...MH will never go there. edit: spelling.
  10. Most of the time, you won't be REQUIRED to disembark and can do so at your own will, provided you comply with the conditions applied to you leaving the aircraft on transit. However, unless you're flying into T3...i suggest you just sleep in the aircraft
  11. If they buy those...another 2 "astronauts" will be making teh tarik in space....
  12. SPM not enough la...Pre University required.
  13. Middle Eastern Airlines....dont dream about it. They only take their own NATIONALS as cadets. However, you can give Etihad a try...they have a Cadet Pilot Programme for individuals from around the world. HOWEVER, your cables better be ready to be tugged at
  14. If you get AK...have fun serving your 15 year bond
  15. wow..nice pix CB! Especially LOVE the MD11 ones...i simply love that aircraft!
  16. What crap... KUL-DXB-KUL on some rickety rackety A330 will set me back MYR4'100...
  17. Um...Air Niugini is a full service carrier
  18. Meaning what? I dont see what the change in government has to do with somewhat basic economics.
  19. Exactly what was playing through my mind last night. Why not just improve the transit facilities for Hajj passengers instead of trying to operate mammoth sized aircraft into small airports? If people are worried about the crowds, then they're DEFINITELY on the wrong trip of their lifetime aren't they?
  20. Wow..some nice "behind the fence" shots there. Just a question...would using a smaller aircraft suffice? A 777 say?
  21. WOW HAKAN! Absolutely amazing stuff! I never knew they could even simulate smoke in the cockpit...that truly is fantastic! Glad you enjoyed yourself...a simulator visit is almost never regrettable for enthusiasts like us!
  22. Wow...a chance to be on the mini-historic flight? *hand up* Edit: I can sponsor around 6 kilos of dates, regardless of whether i can go on the mini historic flight or not.
  23. Being in the jewellery business and having travelled with such high-risk items, i think i can answer your question. First of all, being escorted by 4-5 bodyguards will basically draw unnecessary attention to ones self if one is carrying high risk items, and as such, what is stopping the robbers from shooting the bodyguards, and STILL making off with your goods? Ok, you might argue that the bodyguards will fight back, but imagine the hassle one has to go through to acquire bodyguards who are armed (paperwork, salary, red-tape etc) and if the 'robbery' is botched, one still has to live with a dead bodyguard or two and go through all sorts of OTHER hassles. I know many people who travel around the world with gold bullion, diamonds, currency etc, and who have never been robbed or tailed in their lives. At first glance, they might be mistaken for a 'bangla worker' or a 'Maulana Umar'. The key to a successful 'transfer' is that one must be EXTREMELY low profile. No 'spotting' or 'anjung tinjau model photography'. ( ) Based on the attached picture in The Star, the person who was robbed wasn't dressed extravagantly at all (Collared shirt and slacks), and this lends credence to Gavin's point of it being an inside job.
