Good day to everyone! Recently, I was given a set of questions for my test and to my delightness, one of questions are aviation related (not in a technical way though). I answered happily, knowing that I have plenty of examples (MH & AK) to give and really hope my lecturer will find my answer satisfactory. That aside, I wonder how would MWingers answer if you ever come across this question. The question goes like this: Discuss how the concept of price elasticity of demand affects the total revenue from the sales of airline ticket following an increase in the airport tax and surcharge. In that case, what about planes flying (widebodies) low in Shah Alam ah? Especially Alam Megah, Kota Kemuning & Taman Sri Muda area. Gavin, can you see them from USJ? Sometimes widebodies do some banking over here and head south to KLIA. Occasionally I get Lufthansa's A346 Are they gonna landing on 14R or 14L? Cheers,

AFAIK, Airbus are fitted with Michelins, correct me if I'm wrong. Concorde uses Michelin too. I didn't know Bridgestone produce plane tyres MH pilots + Airbus A330 = Smooth and graceful landing Well, there must be something that cause all these punctures. LMAO!! Sure or nottt?? @Fairizuan Yes! That's his name! Thank you! You know him??! Capt. Tun Beta is probably one of the best pilot I've ever flown with. Forgive me, Capt. Radzi, I'm yet to fly with you. Hehe.. His announcement speech was superb! Before take-off, F/O do the speech (as usual la). But somewhere above South China Sea (KCH-KUL), Capt. Tun Beta gives his speech which is very pleasant and nice to listen. His pronunciation is clear and tone is so friendly. It was quite a long speech, around 4 minutes for each (Bahasa Malaysia & English). I'll rate him 10 out of 10 for the warmth and pleasant gesture he gave us. LOL! Admin also lari topic Well, I'm not really a technical guy and don't really know much about aircraf technical parts, but I think it could be the way AK pilots handle the aircraft. I have flown many times with AK and tell you what, not even once I experience smooth landing with AK. AK pilots got the tendency to slam the plane on landing. A real contrast to MH pilots where their landing is very smooth and gentle. Slam the plane hard on the runway, apply brakes immediately after touchdown. Result? Maybe flatspot that could lead puncture. Dunno laa.. Just an opinion. My usual route is KUL-KBR-KUL. Hard landing in KBR? Maybe acceptable la, battling with strong crosswinds because the airport is just a few kilometres away from the beach. But KUL? I don't think it's necessary to do that in KUL. Are they any crosswinds in KUL? The runway is long enough for a 737 to land smoothly. I remember my return flight from KCH last year, the landing was smooth and the thrust reverser wasn't deployed immediately! It was deployed only after 4-5 seconds after touchdown. I manage to pay a visit to the cockpit and have a chat with the captain and f/o (I forgotten their names. Perhaps Capt. Radzi can tell me after seeing this pic; Back to the topic (see, I also lari topik).. Wanna know how hard AK pilots land the plane? i wasn't alone at 32L. there's this japanese guy was there before me. at first i thought he might be one of us, so i approached him and we both talked. we introduce each other and chatted for a moment. Mr. Shin Ozeni he is still using film camera. i asked him, why not DSLRs? you know what he told me? i don't have enough money i was like "WHAT?!!" this dude, flew on a concorde before back in 2002. he saved 8,000USD just for the flight from London to New York and he told me he doesn't have the money to buy DSLR?? Alo bro's went spotting yesterday after dropping my dad for his flight to KBR. walk around the airport hoping to get some ah moi's but sadly none.. only a few pregnant staff at the check-in counter. walk out from the terminal to check the weather and take some pics of buildings within KLIA area. hopefully someone can add these into WMKK v3 MAS ops building what building is this?
