  1. The seating map is available only when you're finalizing your booking, where you're given an option to select your seats or to just leave auto-assign during your check-in Yes, Mushriff and Azizul, exactly what I'm trying to point out. Well done, MH!!
  2. I think what they meant by "all inclusive" is those fares advertised in newpapers, billboards, online banners, and website. No longer that have the little asterisk that refers to the non-inclusion of tax and fuel surcharge. Instead, it tells you that the advertised fare includes tax and fuel surcharge as of XX/XX/XXXX (refer image below): Only when you go into the booking details, you will see the actual fare itself, before adding with tax and fuel surcharge: RM734-RM731=RM3 of savings Unlike AK who advertised their attractively cheap fares but only to find out that those fares are excluding tax and fuel surcharge (refer image below):
  3. Here's the seat plan for 772 from MH website: Anyway, it has not been a smooth journey today with MH and M2U. The payment was made and verified by M2U, money has been deducted from my account, but the status under my itinerary details is reported as "failed". I called both of them and MH verified that I wasn't the only customer who called with this issue. There's been some problem with M2U since the upgrade and thus, it affects the payment process from M2U to MH. Both MH and M2U advised me to call again tomorrow evening or Thursday morning to check on my booking status. Why laaaaa...
  4. I've selected 12A for KUL-MEL and 12K for MEL-KUL I'm hoping to get this view:
  5. Any input for the seat selection? Since 11A and 11K (bulkhead seats) are booked.. I'm thinking of 12A and 12K. Any feedback on MH 772 seat plans?
  6. Don't la wei.... EK very expensive lah.. AUD715.10 NZ slightly cheaper than QF.. AUD422.15 DJ is cheeeeaaap.. AUD383.73 Here's the seating arrangement for MH 772 economy class. Can anyone suggest a good seat for both flight? Window seating of course.. 30A for KUL-MEL? 12K or 30K for MEL-KUL? *dilemma* Preferably a full window view for the seat.
  7. I think there's a bug, Uncle Pieter. Having to check via return, the Flex-Saver fares are available As compared to D7: MH - RM1,535 -free meals (no snack box) -free baggage check-in -777 -sexy kebaya -no Enrich points though.. D7 - RM1,572 -no free baggage check-in allowance -tight leg room (considering my height - 6ft) -RM47 extra Hehe.. I know this is a very unfair comparison but if you guys have any input, do include here
  8. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTASTIC!!! KUL-MEL-AKL-MEL-KUL via MH & QF = RM2,721!!!! RM1,300 less than MH131/130 (RM4,020)!
  9. YES!!!!!! Oh boy, I'm excited!! Good news indeed! I hope this will materialize soon A possible KUL-PER-AKL/CHC, perhaps?
  10. I don't mean to bring up an old thread but I stumbled across a video in YouTube, featuring a 757 landing in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The approach is the reverse of Kai Tak, the aircraft banks to the left instead of right and just look how close the aircraft is to the hill (and the spotters!). Check out how close the shadow is to the aircraft, less than 15 feet, I guess. Watch the video Some pictures taken from this airport: "Kai Tak" cometh.. What a place to have a drink and spot planes! You definitely won't be needing Azahan's Bigma for such shot Mod/Admin may delete/move my post if you find this to be off-topic Cheers,
  11. Awesome video!! MH 707!! Look at those hippy outfits Is it clip from any particular movie?
  12. Direct translation, that is Bank Pilihan Anda = Your Choice Bank Yes, I too would prefer if the tag line of "Your Preferred Bank" Back to the topic, are they going to retain the white nosecone?
  13. Now that's interesting. The blue looks very VN It'll be wonderful sight to have major banks in Malaysia to advertise via this media, i.e.: Maybank, Public Bank, CIMB, AM Bank, etc. A good source of income for AK, they must be paid handsomely for this, me thinks.
  14. Wow Norman!! Those are some very nostalgic photos!! Thanks for sharing! Yeah, very P. Ramlee'ish
  15. Assuming your inquiry is for public transport, you can take the RapidKL bus (U81), either from Central Market or KL Sentral. This final stop for this bus is Mah Sing Industrial Park, so it will passing Terminal 3 Or you can take the LRT to Kelana Jaya station, and get a cab from there to Terminal 3. I'm not sure how much would the cab ride cost you, though
  16. Did a bit of Google'ing, found this satellite shot of SZB in 1998, after all the expansion Miss those orange check-in counter desk.
  17. Fokker Friendship F-27!!! Yeah, common feature in buildings with ramps from the 60's and 70's. Reminds me of Super Kinta in Ipoh too Anyone have pictures of Kompleks Airtel FIMA?
  18. Yup! I really enjoyed the bus ride! Especially from Terminal 2. The sight of SQ A300 at the apron next to Terminal 2 and I remember those little F50 parked right in front of the hangar! Occasionally for domestic flights, you'll get to use the aerobridge at Terminal 1 because your aircraft had just returned from destinations outside Malaysia Such a wonderful ride from Terminal 2 all the way to Terminal 1. Geez, those were the days!
  19. Yes, Capt. This picture was taken when Subang was first build somewhere in the late 60s, judging by the bare surroundings. I would describe Subang as "Airport in the Forest" (half of the "Airport in the Forest, Forest in the Airport" concept adopted in KLIA) by the 90s. And they have more buildings around the terminal. Does anyone here have the picture of the hotel opposite the terminal? The one with the Maybank ATM at the ground floor. Would love to see that again! I found this in Google! Photos taken from Tesselar Blog Cheers, Simon Subang is a more glamorous place than KLIA *sings Fergie's "Glamorous" song* Cheng Kit, if my memory serves me right, Uncle Norman once posted some photos of planes in action when Subang was still designated as KUL. Maybe you can dig up some threads to check it out Used to enjoy the sight of planes taxiing next to the road (after AIROD), a popular spot for families, couples and casual plane spotter back then. Cheers!
  20. I think I've posted this picture before but hey! Hope you don't mind the B&W though. This is all I have in my PC. I'm sure our fellow MWingers have a few to share too. Cheers!
  21. Please, no! I want T7 for my KUL-AKL-KUL flight. I'm not gonna settle with anything inferior to T7! I always thought MH130/131 are profitable routes, almost full everyday (might need some correction here).
  22. Plotted in my phone's reminder since I first saw the commercial weeks ago. Waited with much anticipation. Overall, it's an interesting 2 hour documentary despite the recycled footage used in "Giant of the Skies: Building the A380". Leahy is indeed the perfect person for PR/Sales/Marketing job. Just look at the way he talks in front of the camera, as though he's talking to us (viewer) and not the camera/cameraman. I wonder how much of commission will he get for each A380 sold.
  23. Geez, I hope MH will include AKL in the future
  24. Good day, my fellow MWingers, As the topic suggests, is there anyone (pilots, cabin crews, etc.) in here who will be flying to AKL anytime soon? Maybe in a week or two? I have favour to ask, a big favour, that is. Looking forward for a favourable response. Cheers,
