Do you know that AAP ist just the Holding for Thai AirAsia and nothing more? And is owned by 45% by AirAsia.... They cannot do anything "on their own" All Jets from NOK are leased, so you can say goodbye to all the jets maybe within a year or 2. And then turn over the slots in the morning to Thai AirAsia. And of course end then the cooperation with SQ on Nokscoot. You can be sure that AAP will not buy just 5% stake on NOK to give them some fresh cash ...

Back in 2017 there was the discussion about Malindo Air: http://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/malindo-relocated-klia-because-it-full-service-carrier-%E2%80%94-deputy-minister So in 2017 KLIA1 was more comfortable in the eyes of Malindo... And folks, yes its really a difference if you are walking around in the satelitt, the quality of the shops, state of the art departure gates... Compare that to the long and dark waiting area in KLIA2 with nearly no shops when you are waiting at the gate. But in the end, Malaysian airports have to decide if they want growth! LCC-Growth all around the world goes in line with lower costs, "cheaper packages" or whatever you call it. More growth means more passengers, more tourists etc... -
