Incident imho Amazing how quick VN arranged for a spare aircraft, especially during this heavy Tet season/traffic !

Thanks Flee ! It was an emotional day, not only for the MH staff, but also for the many, many KLM staff members providing services for MH all these years ! Btw, the KL809 still had a MH codeshare number last week (30jan) when we took it to KUL, despite the EK one in force already.

Iran has always been more inclined towards France more than the US, since the fall of the Shah, so this comes to no surprise to me...

The codeshare does NOT reflect in the example shown: should have been MH flightnumber all the way down and "operated by EK" should have been visible.

Hedging the fuel can be two-sided: amazing to see they fixed it at USD96 for just over half their requirements. Hope this won't last long, and they lower the fuel-charge as soon as possible ! P.S. How many airlines have done this sofar ? Cannot remember of any, actually Any no one (passenger) is complaining, apparently !!!

Yeah, we Dutch spotters look forward to this, as this is the 1st scheduled A350-900 into and out of Schiphol Airport Amsterdam ! Much better than the boring 777's we got to see daily of various airlines

Yes, KLM will increase from daily to 11 per week from June 16 with a KL811/12 terminating flight (773 also)

Can remember, around 2000, KL operated a similar schedule with 744 aircraft: one terminating flight at KUL and the other one continuing to JKT. They even pulled out the same flightnumber again

Depends on the time of the day you re there. Of you ve a boardingpass already, go to the transfer line and not immigration to speed things up. It Can be busy at times. Great airport for spotting though.

Last MH19 flight was operated by MRL.

Just flew on KLM's newest 777 with redesigned Y seats: although estetically they look very nice they are very hard and narrow for a 12 hour flight. AK seats were more comfy (Can you believe that ?)
