  1. Reflects the Federal Government's thinking.
  2. FY JETS should take over some low yield routes from KUL as originally intended . SZB must remain as prop ops ... There must b consistency here in terms of policies ..... No more yoyo n indecisive decisions if the government is truly serious in developing the nation (n of course to win the ....) Even some off peak flights can b operated by FY instead of MH ... Where virtually no demand for premium cabins. Even so , premium economy could b offered on FY if need b .
  3. It's the cabin ceiling .... The A380 upper deck is small just like the standard 330/340s with smallish windows . .... U feel catasphrobic ! Nice concealing headsets does help .... Regardless if it's ATR72, 777 or A380 .
  4. problem with MH is they don't hv the right size of aircraft with comparable amenities to regularly fly to key European cities . The 300 sweater T7s r too big n dated , A380 is huge & A330s don't hv the range. Cost is a major concern n to fly just 3 times / wk is not good enough . ... They need at least one daily services ... With 2 flights a day wud b the minum to attract the front end business travelers. Plus .... Stop acting like a typical Malaysian GLC ! They need to act fast to ensure their survival n b relevent to 1world. ..... Before being booted out as the unwanted.
  5. I hate this. Somehow, I noticed my rides on Boeings are more comfortable thn the Airbuses. Have flown MH 380 Business Class; though the amenities are good but the ambience comfort within the cabins of the tripple 7s and the Queen still prevails . Having seen the Dreamliner. It is clear that Boeing do consider the comfort rather thn Size. The truth is Size does matters to some , but it's how you "do" it makes it more enjoyable.
  6. Let's be realistic; Air Asia is Asian.... I think they would be concentrating more in Asia, with the biggest population base within 5 hour flight radius from their HQ in KUL... oops CGK. They've got most ASEAN, Japan.....etc. Obviously China and India would be ideal and may be followed by others such as Taiwan, Bangladesh, Middle East or even Iran and Iraq.
  7. Now where is MH in this ? Losing end? Too slow to court with QF?
  8. Aiyaaaaaa....restart those 737 ops please. I'm sure you guys can make it and be a good alternative to the reds !
  9. Having double daily A380 to LHR would be nice , but need to work hard to sell the seats .
  10. Just to share : MH used to operate F27 on KUL - KCH - SBW - MYY - BKI way back in the 1970s
  11. A LIABILITY that comes to a great long term benefit for the airline as a brand loyalty . ( That is if it's done rightly)
  12. If so, for a start take back HND slots ,restart FUK/NGO/KHH/PUS/...etc . N not forgetting bring back BKI hub!
  13. And that her0 or id10t is .........;
  14. Reflects the lack of innovation and creativity. In fact , could have carried some premium regulars on the ferry flight as form of promotion and winning back customers.
  15. 1 AT WHAT FARE? THE SEATS MAY BE FILLED BUT NO POINT IF D7 PAYS BELOW THE YIELD? do they? 2 WHAT KIND OF MANAGEMENT? HND IS A FINE EXAMPLE BEING WASTED!, HIGH YIELD MIDDLE EAST PULLOUT WAS ANOTHER WHEN THERE EASY MARKET FOR PREMIUM CABINS! MH PREVIOUSLY FAILED B'COZ SUBSTANDARD PRODUCTS PLYING THESE ROUTES! LOTS OF OPPORTUNITIES MISSED TO MAXIMISE MH RETURNS. 3 FY JETS OF COURSE DON'T MAKE MONEY IN FIRST 9 MONTHS OF OPERATIONS! NO AIRLINES DOES THAT ! EVEN AK HAD A YEAR TO BREAK EVEN! NOT A GOOD ARGUMENT! 4 PRESTIGE ROUTES? U MEAN KUL-CPT-EZE? I think there's good opportunities if rightly managed. . FYI , IT'S THE ONLY CONNECTION TO ARGENTINA FROM SOUTH AFRICA AND ASEAN? GOOD EXAMPLE SQ MANAGES GRU DECENTLY WELL OR FOR THAT MATTER HOW COULD EK/QR Manages EZE? 5 U don't need to swap share in order to get MRO Contracts from MH Engineering. If that's the case might aswell share swap with all airlines! Please look at both ends and think deeper .
  16. CLUELESS as there's lack of commercial aviation expertise?
  17. FYI, back when MH was born in 1972; it was QF that provided the assistance to MH. It worked really well in setting the right foot and ground for MH. Of course back then the "Commonwealth" collaboration was stronger thn ASEAN. IMHO, Transfer of Technology is becoming somehow embedded within the era of globalisation in todays world and to talk so much of pride in politics and nation these days may compromise one's global edge . BTW, in airline industry, i don't think there's that "Transfer of technology" , particularly in MH. However, in the case of Proton; it's a matter of surviving the global challenges and to be in a successful group would likely be an advantage.
  18. I'm not a staff of MH ! Don't use the 2015 open sky policy as an excuse. IMHO both MH and AK should be ready for that. What needs to be appreciated is the actions and what are being said in between the lines. A good and far sighted businessmen and politician should think in such manner before saying yes to what's on the table. Problems with MH now should easily be seen as a bi-product taken 3-5 years ago. As an example, one of MH problems now is shrinking connectivity and dated aircraft. Arrangements could easily be made for Lease - buy similar to Airbus offer for Eastern in 1980s. First and foremost AK should be allowed allowed to "rollover" it's business model across ASEAN and FAR EAST as what is happening now. As for MH , do allow them to collaborate only with the ones that are appropriate and truly complimentary to each other such as IAG or QF ( more so now if they are focussed for that ONEWorld) . Similarly in the case of Proton, VW would have been the better option for excellent track record of successfully transforming AUDI, SKODA, SEAT....etc. ( BTW i'm not a VW staff either) As mentioned earlier, that 10 months have proved the imbalances of collaboration. Hey , look at HND slots! In the end, i'm a Malaysian and I do want both to succeed and not one killing the other! Especially when the other is the National Carrier.
