sad day for all malaysians. saw a video of 370's flight path on the mirror.co.uk. anyone who has seen it notice the aircraft made a right bank prior to vanishing? any possible explanations? I cannot tell the gap in time between the path adjustment and the disappearance from radar. hope someone with more expertise can enlighten me.

Isn't that one of those balloon-like aircrafts?

Local press running out of things to publish? -
I guess apart from connectivity, they brought in more "frequency" across destinations in Asia.

World Airline Awards 2012 [MH is back to 5 star!!!]
Wilson Kook replied to Roy Chin's topic in General Aviation
So.. Did MH make it back into the top 10 or not? -
Apparently not to Skytrax

Well. No more direct flights to Bahrain. Gotta opt for Dubai or Abu Dhabi and then make a short hop over lol.

A330 sharklets study follows good results on A320 tests
Wilson Kook replied to alberttky's topic in General Aviation
Now MH's remaining A330s on order don't seem like a bad idea. By the time we get our A350 (if they did order) it'll be 2020 and people are probably flying to space for fun. -
Give us Sydney, not Pyongyang, says AirAsia X
Wilson Kook replied to Sing Yew's topic in General Aviation
Well well well... What do we have here... Link from The Star -
This airline has Air Asia X painted all over it. That's what I think The younger generation might find this airline catchy. Also, I don't see how they are able to compete with D7 for now. I am waiting for D7 to mount flights to SYD. Then we'll see....

2 Daily Emirates A380 to Kuala Lumpur from 1 July 2016
Wilson Kook replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Any chance that they (EK) deploy the A380 for the tag on to Melbourne? It would make more sense since this particular flight from Dubai makes two stops (one in KL, one in Melbourne), as compared to the regular DXB-KUL shuttle. Then again, EK flights from Melbourne to KL depart around 3:40am. Maybe that's the "potong steam" factor. There's literally NOTHING you can do in Melbourne Tullamarine once it's past 12am. Can't be doing duty free shopping for 2-3 hours. I recently flew back to KL from Melbourne and my flight was delayed for 2-3 hours. We managed to board the plane at approximately 6.00am. I had to loiter around the terminal for a good 5-6 hours. Eventually ran out of things to do and resorted to paying for wifi services (and the internet was crap!) Load was pretty good since many students were going home for the holidays. But during non-peak seasons, flight load on the 773 is about 60-70% tops. -
AirAsia’s Fernandes Caterham Jet Acquired Berjaya Air
Wilson Kook replied to michgyver's topic in General Aviation
Add value to MH my "That man" can claim (if he does) all he wants that the new airline will target a totally different market / complement MH. As if MH's premium product is not good enough. What complement you want some more!? He's a parasite. A little greedy, and cunning, in my opinion. Hope I'm wrong about him. Have looked up to him after what he's done with the Air Asia brand. -
Is it time for SIN to open up the 3rd runway?
Wilson Kook replied to Juanda I.'s topic in General Aviation
Is there any well-known airport in the world with a dual mode runway as of today? Never really thought about it until this was brought up. -
AirAsia’s Fernandes Caterham Jet Acquired Berjaya Air

Funny guy.. He's the one who told us that premium airlines should stick to premium services and LCCs stick to providing low cost services. All bull**** lol. -
RedQ firms as name for Qantas's new premium airline in Asia
Wilson Kook replied to Johan Z's topic in General Aviation
Caught my attention while I was web-browsing for fun facts.. Link via The Chief Officers Network Food for thought perhaps? Every Tom, Dick & Harry Airline is going to want to have a share of the Sydney-KL-London market/route. -
He wants MAS and Air Asia to merge into what?! Then of course the government will lay their itchy hands on the airline and take them downhill.

MAS New 15 A330-300X + 4 A330-200 Freighter
Wilson Kook replied to Mohd Azizul Ramli's topic in General Aviation
MH aren't the only ones to place orders for new A333 aircraft tho. CX for instance, have placed orders for another 20 birds. Pretty sure MH will have to replace the workhorse 772's with the 787 or 350 variances in the future (probably serve most European routes). I guess the A333 will be suitable for high volume regional and Asian routes? Probably a couple of Aussie destinations? Tho I agree, they will probably be at the bottom of the waiting list when that time (placing orders for 787 or 350) finally comes. -
I've got a question tho. Imagine if you're playing "virtual golf" and the flight goes through some severe turbulence. Early halt to your progress. Kinda "potong steam"

That's some unbelievable stuff.
