Seems like lots of wide body traffic today to clear up the backlog caused by the hoo hah last night.

Nothing beats the old viewing gallery in the old terminal (presently known as T2). Sitting on the black metal pipe/beam as a kid back then watching all the activities on the tarmac. Always excited when the A300s (sometimes Philippine Airlines), DC10s, & CX L1011 Tristars were in town. (How I wish I could go back in time & capture everything with an HD camcorder) Parents would buy me a Gardenia ice cream or KK drinks from the cafeteria downstairs

Hey Tony! What about the RM35 taxi fare (or more) from T1 to T2 (vice versa) for those of us who are from ulu towns who need to fly other airlines to connect to your airline? And backpackers (since you mentioned them in your press conference) who are connecting to our ulu towns?

It is fully a town proper you know, got its own postcode, bus 'interchange', market, KFC, hotels, schools, restaurants, supermarket, balai polis, public toilets, post office, newspaper printer, 4D outlets, petrol station, a church (used to be cinema), & even 'casinos'

Tam-sang & Waiping, do you remember back in 1985-ish (or was it 1989-ish?) (I presume both of you were 'aware of things' then ), the first B747-200 flight to BKI (chartered by BP from Sydney), multitudes of people were surrounding the runway perimeter, the viewing gallery.... that was an exciting event. Do you remember the dates?
