  1. I thought the 737-300F would be the last narrowbody in SQ colours.
  2. For many years now, MI has been masquerading as SQ on one particular route - SIN-BWN vv. And in the early years of such ops, even the inflight mags, headrest covers, meal service items, toilet amenities were replaced with SQ's before each flight operated by MI. Only the crew remained in MI uniform and of course, no repainting of aircraft was done.
  3. It is clear that all explicit symbols, signs, logo of Airasia, and Airasia X have been removed, the one on the tail hastily done so. So, it is clear that on one hand, Tony wants to butter up the caretaker PM, but at the same time, no explicit association with Airasia or its affiliates... at least optically.
  4. Probably easier to repaint to whoever is the flavour of Malaysians after the 9th? Hahaha
  5. Interesting to note that MH had to resort to chartering a DC-3 to fill in the gap. Must feel like Malayan Airways once again ... hahaha
  6. A is at 40% discount. But B gives 70% discount. Who pays list prices?!!
  7. Why is the PTV non functional yet? Whats holding up the introduction of content? MH knew these birds were coming months ago.
  8. The headline is misleading. MH simply said no change to the status quo. Headline suggests, perhaps mischieviously, that MH is converting the MoU into a firm order.
  9. It also depends on the equipment in the cabin. Not all six of MH's leased 332s are the same, galley-wise.
  10. Oh. Just a boring to-and-fro AKL? No scenic route afterall.
  11. No. As per the schedules, MH is only selling one way tickets AKL-KUL.
  12. Well, if you fly circles until afternoon before landing in SUB, then ferry it empty to AKL ... yes, that is some aircraft utilisation indeed!
  13. I thought the leased 332s will come in at least 2 versions. One with smaller galley facility for just one hot meal service - which will be used for services to DEL, PVG, HKG, CAN etc - and the other with facilities for two hot meal longer-range services.
  14. The late plane swap from the scheduled 333 caused some capacity issues at the front cabin .... that MH has actively been calling up pax to switch to other flights.
  15. Thats just the minority. Not the bulk of them.
  16. I think the bulk of umrah crowd dont go via DXB?
  17. Will the interior of the 2 in MAB fleet be updated or refreshed in any way?
  18. Which maiden flights will -MTV operate soon? Also, does anyone have the exact layout of biz seats? Which window seat rows are closer to the aisle and which ones have the console in between the aisle and the window seat?
  19. You forgot the 777-9, which will replace the 77Ws.
  20. Morbidly obese is not the same as being overweight. Also, a family with, say, 8 and 10 year old kids will not need lap-belts.
  21. No - TG did not. You are oversimplifying things.
  22. I have met some journalists (reporters?) who simply have no background knowledge of the companies whose events they are covering or writing on. So, when certain reporters asked about MH resuming services to the United States (of all places), I thought that was an odd out-of-the-blue question, like throwing darts in the dark. Why not ask about Amsterdam? Frankfurt? Then, I saw the tagline of the newly launched MH initiative ...
  23. Does anyone has a list of schedules of where and when and commencement dates the 332s will be operated on? (Not a list of destinations please)
  24. Even if the PNRs are different, you should be able to get CXs by providing the e-ticket number. Then use the CX PNR to select seats - if the fare allows it - on the CX website.
