  1. FY wanted to do KBR-BKK using the ATR72 previously but dont think it took off.
  2. At LGK, MH has this machine (which looks like the remote tracked robotic vehicle that a bomb disposal squad would use) which attaches to a wheechair and is designed to be able to climb up the stairs.
  3. I think because the air display is over Putrajaya and not because the aircraft are at KUL?
  4. I think this big ship is one of the smaller carriers. It looks like USS Essex, an amphibious assault ship. Didnt the US have some joint military exercises recently in the east coast of Sabah?
  5. You should be able to gain access by virtue of you having a business class boarding pass for travel on a Oneworld airline - this is as per the Oneworld guidelines.
  6. Indeed, that's a very decent lounge as well with lots of space, but the Pier F side is proving to be too strong a magnet.
  7. Slightly off-topic, but if your non-Cathay but Oneworld flight departs from the new-ish midfield concourse (gates 201+), which CX lounge would be the best/ most convenient?
  8. The 332s also sometimes makes an appearance on the BKK run, supp the usual 333s on the days the widebody is scheduled on the Mh782/3.
  9. You were actually interpreting the previous posting wrongly. It was talking about international departures and screening at the gates. Bags refer to cabin luggage.
  10. That failed through I think as they were deemed too expensive to maintain.
  11. I believe MH has terminated Azzura earlier this year? I think the ground handler is now ASC.
  12. It was on the TV news in Australia. All three remained covered. So, who's fault was it? The ground handler-engineer? The pilot doing the walkaround?
  13. Yeah, VA budgeted about RM55m for the make-over. MH budgeted?
  14. Compared to what VA has done to refresh its ex-Air Berlin 332s .... https://thedesignair.net/2018/06/10/virgin-atlantic-renovate-their-a330-200s-to-align-with-the-rest-of-the-fleet/ MH's own ex-Air Berlin 332s look pitiful...like hardly any effort and zero cents invested in the interior.
  15. At least they resolved somewhat the IFE issue. During the first few flights, you get to stare at blank black screens.
  16. "As is". http://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/malaysia-airlines-says-no-plan-yet-highdensity-a380
  17. No they didn't. Did you not realise that this is MH's latest retro livery?
  18. There was also BWN-KUL-BAH-CAI using 763. At one time, you could see 3 BI 763s at Subang where one was heading to BAH, one to BWN from BAH and another was the regular KUL-BWN-KUL turnaround. The service to KWI should also be added to the list.
  19. Since its a non-stop (meaning no, zero, zilch stops) to LHR from BWN, obviously! But DXB remains as a stand-alone destination served 4x a week from BWN. MEL remains a daily service. So, probably better use of their 787s, although 2 787s spend almost 12hrs on the ground in LHR and MEL to make the return departure timings more attractive.
  20. BI has been operating to LHR for decades, arriving at similar times.
  21. Negaraku livery is fine....just don't add Hebatkan into the mix. Could be toxic. Although come to think of it, the majority responded to the Hebatkan Negaraku challenge by dumping the thieves at the helm. Ok, ok... back to topic...
  22. We were talking about narrowbodies. I think the 733F lasted until 1996 but the 757s left in the 80s when SQ preferred the 310. Recall that SQ acquired both the 310 and 757 to compare real life performance.
