How about you ask those working with Myairline yourself and reserve your comments until then. Maybe your opinion will change after that. -
Malaysia to see entry of new ultra low-cost carrier MYAirline

Looks like reality is kicking in for MYAirline, rising fuel cost and USD. Lack of economical scale and cashflow issues, heard staff salaries are late. With AirAsia getting stronger by the day, MYAirline might end up being another Rayani. -
Let's hope someone gets the boot for the damage caused. Some culprits deserved to lose their job due to this is catering fiasco. Especially the middle management side.
-
Probably due to cargo as well. PEN is part of the semi-conductor supply chain of those giant chipmakers in Taiwan. High value cargo. More belly cargo capacity on A333.

There are still 5 A380's parked in DWC.

flydubai's 737max product puts MH's refurbished NG and soon max to shame.

Hotmeals are already back, its only a matter of weeks before offerings are restored as per the media announcement yesterday.

We offer local special, ayam goreng rempah.

Its all about yields and ROI. If the demand is massive, SQ, EK, QR, CX and all the other big shots will be lining up in droves to launch non-stop services to BKI or KCH. There is no justified demand. Otherwise if AK or MH are not doing their part, OD would have jumped in. Look at HKT for instance, demand is good hence all the ME3 and north asian giants are having flights there.

Tg.Sepat & Sg.Pelek is probably going to be more of a "community service" extension as a lot of KLIA staff live around Sepang oldtown area.

It's a seasonal charter with MH8xxx flight number.

Two of them are accountants by training, no offence to that field but that roughly answers the question on why the refurbished 737 product is as bad if not worse than an LCC.
-
Starting a route is not as easy as that. A lot of matters are taken into account like traffic rights, landing slots, passenger acquisition cost and so on. Operating into Europe is very expensive hence why its not generating much interest among airlines to do non-stop flights or direct 1 stop services. On top of that those ME3 airlines are offering cut-throat fares with good products. IST/SAW-Europe by itself is heavily operated by so many EU and local airlines out of Turkey.
-
Its all about yield. Loads can be hypothetically 110% and the airline could still be losing money. This is why airlines like AK quickly readjusted domestic network to redeploy fleet to China the moment PRC border reopened. Where we saw once 95% load factor KCH-PEN route dropped by AK due to irrational price war between FY and AK on that route. However i do believe PEN-MKZ might work out for FY and OD using ATR with the right fare structure.

Turkey has close to 3x our population and geographically advantageous being a super connector hub between east and west. Hence FSC model works well. MH is squeezed between highly popular tourist destination up north and an economic powerhouse down south. Despite MH having its own troubles within the company, KUL by itself is having a lot of disadvantages. Having far less foreign FSC coming to Malaysia by itself tells you all the handicaps MH is facing to drive premium traffic into the country. This is why at times MH is forced to "downgrade" offering to meet demand. If one would notice even Malindo is slowly becoming LCC. The game is different between one region to another.

In this picture it appears they are queing up in separate line and then merging with normal passenger que. Have seen this before in east malaysia O&G cities like Labuan and Miri where O&G workers just barge through the que. There was no placard installed to show this group have priority unlike "give way to aircrew" signs. Hence i do understand why this issue came up.

Both serve different group of passengers. BKK offers connecting options to a lot more European routes, works well with DIY connecting pax. DMK is more like the SZB of Bangkok, closer to the city. -
Flew as a passenger on this refurbished 737s. Feels so LCC and everything is already breaking apart so soon. Broken tray table, wireless system not functional and worst of all warm cabin.

Saving Airasia Group and Airasia X: Covid-19 Recovery Thread

I've experienced airasia super app falsely manipulating competitor airline fares just to show theirs is cheaper on the app. Thus serving as a mean of preventing passengers from checking other respective airlines own website for fares. At that time i was looking for the cheapest option to get to CGK. Airasia superapp showed RM375 for AK, while OD and MH priced between 700-900. Upon checking OD and MH site, found both competitively priced around 400-500. You can call it dirty tricks if you want too. Being a smarter traveller, I opted OD for that booking. -
Perhaps still listed as unidentified orders.

I believe they have a lot of 738s which are under utilized. These sectors can be operated by 738s as they did before pre-covid. Perhaps PEK (PKX) would require 330s. Considering MH is offloading inter borneo flights to FY, this would free up capacity to serve these higher yield routes.
