  1. You are only referring to those corrupted individuals when big companies like Hainan or HK Airlines or the likes went overseas to buy a company, of course, it is not on their own account. Look at how China is buying up assets and businesses in Australia, Volvo, and the likes.
  2. Shortest ever flight of all the B787s out there
  3. Someone might be saying this is a "low" quality product that was made in China...
  4. Oh yes, thats right. The earliest historic 9M-MA* series was on the DC-10-30 starting 9M-MAS to 9M-MAZ. I just checked and found that 9M-MAA is the registration for an Eurocopter.... Hence the A350-900 has to start with 9M-MAB
  5. So BI does send the 787s to BKI from time to time, assuming it is non-scheduled?
  6. So MH will indeed recycle their registration numbers. The registration "9M-MAB" was last seen on a Fokker F-27 Friendship, IIRC.
  7. Probably been sitting under the sun for a while before she was called up for duty. Looking like a usually dirty Oriental Thai bird...
  8. I reckon Airbus A380 will not be a good freighter like the B747s will. The B747's design allowed it to swallow the cargo from the mouth and pass it out at the back end.... The A380 will not be able to do this feat. They will have to swallow the cargo sideways and then comes to a question whether it can fill out both decks. Or you can fill it out with a single deck with surplus space left at top deck. It is a horrible freighter design. Airbus got their maths and thinking wrong again! The 747 will probably live longer than the A380s, albeit not in the form of passenger model.
  9. Not if the interest came out of Hong Kong Airlines - using HK Investment policy.

  11. 9V-SCB in full SQ livery Click the following link for photos: https://travelupdate.boardingarea.com/787-10-singapore-airlines/
  12. To be dismembered and used as parts or will she be going through major maintenance to prepare her for a new airline?
  13. The Boeing 747s have definitely played a great role in modern-day jet transport and will be missed greatly by many. My last flight with the 747-400 was perhaps with Air China's B747-400 October last year and just as I thought it would be the last, came along the B747-400 of Korean Air during March 2017 which took me to ICN. Also had the opportunity to catch her latest incarnation, the B747-8i in Korean Air livery in March from ICN to HKG. I am really looking forward to take another B747-8i with Air China in Feb 2018 from FRA to PEK.
  14. Cheers bro, same scheme as the 747-400F with the MASKargo in the A380 blue font? Sad to see the A380-800s bathing under the sun at the hangar. Supposedly these are the charter birds?
  15. Thought the sheeps are well covered by SQ Cargo's B747-400F ad-hoc visit to BKI and etc... True, I concur... I saw my friend's photos - 3x EK A380s daily, with each going to BNE, SYD and MEL.... used to be A380 to SYD, 773 to BNE and 345 to MEL...
  16. Wouldn't Air Atlanta Icelandic or Kalitta Air be keen to get hold of them? Was hoping for the 747-8F orders!! What about the A332Fs, are they still active?
  17. A332 is more like a re-introduction than addition Previously MH had a handful of leased in A332, all in the classic 1990-2000 livery... Would be good to see them in the swooshy livery IIRC, MH was able to fill in the KUL-AKLroute with the B77E. Not sure how business is going post MH370 days and I have not flown on that route after 2007, but A332 might be a bit too small? Would have thought 333 is a good size for the route.
  18. Finally.. a B787 in SQ livery! Thought B787-9 will suit SQ's network too, seems like they haven't ordered any....
  19. Hey guys and gals, how many B737-900ER does Malindo or Batik Air Malaysia has now? Last checked they only used them on KUL-PER route?
  20. Hi guys, to cut long story short, is MH still thinking of those A330-900 neo? I hope they just focus on those A350-900/ 1000 and B787-9s/ 10s
  21. Haha, Dr. M accusing MAS purchasing aircraft to please Najib in the expense of sensible business decisions. In case he had gotten too old and forgot it all, wasn't he the guy who initiated this during his time as a PM!?
  22. Is BA still servicing KUL? Or have they departed like other Europeans did... came and left... LH and AF namely.
  23. QANTAS UNVEILED THEIR FIRST BOEING 787-9 https://thewest.com.au/business/aviation/qantas-unveils-new-livery-on-its-first-boeing-787-9-dreamliner-ng-b88606200z VH-ZNA has been painted and will be delivered end of October 2017.
  24. Lets hope not. Makes more business sense to move on with the 787-9 or 787-10 and retire the existing A330s progressively.
