  1. In her country, hospital & stadium collapse out of all sudden..
  2. Each of FedEx plane is named after employees' child name.. Not in near future..the nearest the 777F is in SIN. B777F is primarily used for transpac lanes connecting our hubs in CAN and MEM and one lane HKG-CDG. most likely routing for the 3planes: A310F : CAN-KUL-PEN-CAN MD11F : CAN-BKK-PEN-CAN MD11F : CAN-PEN-SIN (for PEN o/b transpac via SIN)
  3. B777F for SIN-KIX-MEM MD11F for CAN-SIN-CAN
  4. yeah..my D7 FA friend confirmed he's flying to IKA, now on sked basis..not charter
  5. Not really..its more for Dim.Weight measurement.. FYI, chargeable weight for every package is determined either Actual Weight or Dim/Volumetric Weight, whichever is greater. On the oversize package, we can handle standard package of not more than 330cm (Length + Girth) / Girth= 2 X (Width+Height) Anything bigger will normally handled by our Freight Hub in TPE instead Actually, 2 pandas and one ULD as the flight routing was IAD-ATL-CTU. The 2 giant pandas, Tai Shan from Washington Smithsonian Zoo & Mei Lan from Atlanta Zoo was returned back to China as part of the giant panda breeding progam Actually, 2 pandas and one ULD as the flight routing was IAD-ATL-CTU. 6. Yeah..the scanner will scan packages based on the routing codes & also measure the package dimension..
  7. good for you..on the other hand we have backlogs of shipments waiting to be uplifted to and from CDG from CAN to make things worse, not only European region affected, but the whole Africa as CDG is the hub for Africa as well.
  8. Thanks for sharing Walter!
  9. Due to this situation, our major hub in CDG is really affected & packages are transported by ground trucks instead but its gonna be much slower
  10. std transit time is within 3 business days if no clearance delays At FedEx, we have been honored to play a role in the preservation of the giant panda. Most recently, we delivered two giant pandas from the United States to Chengdu. These two pandas, Tai Shan and Mei Lan, have now joined the panda breeding program and will play a part in increasing the giant panda population, which is now at fewer than 1,600 in the wild. Check out our Multimedia Center clip http://mediacenter.fedex.designcdt.com/node/359
  11. Maybe you guys read about this already..but here's again.. FedEx Panda Express FedEx has a long history of transporting rare and delicate shipments. Today, we made a very special delivery of two giant pandas from Washington D.C., U.S. to Chengdu, mainland China. The two giant pandas - Tai Shan, a four-and-a-half-year-old male panda born at the National Zoo, Washington, D.C. and Mei Lan, a three-year-old female panda born at Zoo Atlanta – will arrive at the Chengdu Shuangliu Airport later this afternoon on the FedEx Panda Express, a specially-branded FedEx 777F aircraft. Upon arrival, the pandas will be transported to their new homes in Chengdu – Tai Shan to the China Conservation and Research Center’s Wolong Nature Reserve and Mei Lan to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. I am delighted that FedEx is able to support this meaningful global conservation program for these endangered animals. Our support of special deliveries such as the giant pandas highlights our commitment to the communities where we do business, as well as our support for animal conservation and educational initiatives. 13. sure.bt that not atc..just ground control tower..traffic stil handled by china authority which sometimes can be strict when it comes to unsked flights i.e backup flights to cover ac having mech probs the hub will be active mostly aftr midnight when all ac will start coming in from gateways such as icn, sin, bkk,kul,pen,pvg,crk,mnl,etc.. can-hub is linked to our regional hubs such as anc for america n cdg for europe.. even though fx has the largest cargo fleet we still use comm flights to syd via sin..so u wont see our md11 workhorse in au or nz..
  14. Just would like to share pics from our APAC Hub in Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN), the largest hub outside US (2nd largest after Memphis) The hub was just 1 year old since it first commence ops on Feb 6, 2009.. (pics from our internal circulation, not by me )
  15. 1. i dont see the viability of having Aerotrain from Sat-1 to Lcct 2. the rwy naming can also be 14/32R/L and 15/33L/R since got 4 parallel rwy
  16. even if AK really moves to Labu, i believe KLIA ATC will still be handling their traffic coz according to TF, Labu is still a part of KLIA which made me wonder is that possible that Labu which is 10km apart from KLIA be under KLIA ATC? Having to say that, can Labu be considered as part of KLIA in terms of airport operations coz two different airports should be at least 40km apart?
  17. this is my version of suspected site of the Labu Airport..
