For info to those interested and have the means to visit... From Thai Flying Club website... "...09-11 Dec 2010 -- CIVIL AVIATION AIRSHOW 2010 AT DON MUANG AIRPORT -- The last event was very successful, because all aviation business and schools set up their booths in the old terminal at Don Muang and everyone was invited to come and learn about flying in Thailand and all the schools and businesses. It was a good event. If you want to fly in, you can, and your landing and parking fees will be waived…."

Light aircraft crashes near golf course, pilot injured(near Rawang)
Norhisham K replied to Aiman's topic in General Aviation
Was at the crash site this morning together with the police forensic team and DCA personnel. High time the GA community look seriously at inculcating a Safety Culture among its players. The kind of weather over that area yesterday was not for a 22 year old with less than 60 hours flying a less than 650 kg AUW light aircraft. Personally I am both sad and angry. -
Was about to descent into Perth today, had to hold for about 15 mins for the Qantas...contrary to the report above, it was the number 4 engine that was shut down by the pilots; the right hand outboard engine.

KLIA CHANGE TO MAHATHIR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Norhisham K replied to MOHD RAMZAN FADZIL's topic in General Aviation
Karpal Singh International Airport (KSIA). This way only change the 2nd letter code from L to S. It's cheaper. -
Nice to have those winglets. The next time I build my microlite, I shall try one with winglets.

if I may add, most airports in China can be scary with the pilots and air traffic controllers communicating among themselves over the radio in Mandarin. Try Mumbai during most summer nights in thunderstorms and fast speaking always easily over excited "indglish" accents controllers.

....and maybe the tow truck "made in Malaysia" laa... or, the driver is a Malaysian paid agent to sabotage QF... so as to enable a Malaysia contractor to get the job of taxiway widening...
