  1. Tiger does not show the breakdown of their taxes while AK does. The airport tax for any airline going to respective terminal will always be the same. So that means, Tiger charges more in fuel surcharge and admin fees.
  2. is there much different between the two versions though?
  3. Nope, Thai AirAsia operates in Terminal 1.
  4. YEAH!!! I was right!!! RM106 ONE WAY KUL-SIN!!!! and... It seems that the Airport Tax for SIN-KUL route is RM50. I think it will operate at T1 Changi. What do you reckon?
  5. Oh finally, Jetstar can go ahead.... [/size]
  6. Jetstar's sale is only applicable for SIN-KUL-SIN (not the other way around)... and have to pay by the POSB Credit Card. Jetstar always has trick on its sleeve..
  7. Can't trust wikipedia though. I think they may use the satellite as the Jetstar Australia uses it.
  8. sorry about the message above. Anyway, which terminal will Jetstar use in KLIA? LCCT or satellite?
  9. Dear Li Ren, Where have you been, Tiger comes from the little red dot, which we call it Singapore.
  10. I compare with the current prices for the KL-SIN on other airlines, I think it maybe overestimated, coz I calculated based on the priciest tax that is applicable in the list. My breakdown: Admin Fee = RM21 Fuel Surcharge = RM 60 Airport Tax = RM25 TOTAL= RM106 I'm not sure whether it can be any cheaper than this, (the only way it can be cheaper is to lower down the fuel surcharge on this route as it is considerably shorter route)
  11. I just stumbled upon a blog from someone working in AirAsia, KL-Singapore with AirAsia FREE SEATS (only pay tax), one day only Book on the 8 January 2008. Not sure how true it is, but better watch out ps - I wonder how much will the tax be. According to the Fee Schedule listing in the AirAsia website, the total amount of tax will be RM106 one way. That is cheap! http://datahomi.multiply.com/links/item/65
  12. I think the correct tense is "OUR SERVICE WAS WORLD CLASS."
  13. If you are talking about Malaysia Airlines booking engine, it has never change at all. The only changes are, there is no BEST FARE button, and the background change.
  14. That's what they say, but is it really true? Look at the satelite building, all the shops and goods are in the centre of the satellite. So all the happening stuff is in the centre, while the quiet bit is at the end. Is this a dispersal?
  15. Sorry I was wrong. They have stopped doing KUL-SIN route. THey Still fly from Colombo.
  16. What I like about AirAsia? Cheeky advertisement! They always come up with cute and catchy ads.
  17. What about airlines that cease operation in KLIA in 2007? Austrian Air and Sri Lankan Air are some of them, what else?
  18. Much to the dissapointment, the booking engine is THE SAME. the only different is the background. What a shame, I know some of you waited more than the expected three hours of maintainance just to see a change in the background. btw, just did a quick check, the button for the LOWEST FARE has disappeared. What does this mean?
  19. why MAS always undermines the power of the online users? They could have had a temporary booking facility that is accessible while the upgrading is being done. They want ppl to use online booking, but they dont care about the frustration of some ppl seeing that the booking itself is down or under maintenance. And why during saturday morning, why not during off-peak period like MIDNIGHT?. Compared to AK, whenever there is an upgrade on the booking system, they always redirect to another page for what I believe is their temporary booking page. MAS, when will you grow up!
  20. I can access the booking at : http://www.bookonline-malaysiaairlines.com...storefront=1001 Still the same booking engine with a different background. I hope it doesnt stay that way, but change the booking system like the MASwings.
  21. I think SQ finds the pulling out of routes by MH as opportunity, the more MH cutting down and routes, the more SQ will add frequency. They anticipate the passengers to switch to SQ, and they are right!
  22. If the flight is cancelled by AirAsia, the airasia's responsibility is: But, if you missed your flight/not showing up, the only refund you get is the airport tax, which is RM6 for domestic or RM25 for international each sector (from LCCT).
  23. Haha, thats not airasia stewardess lah...not the same outfit.
  24. Malaysia Airlines (too many sectors (KUL to AOR, KBR, KCH, MYY, TPE, NRT, LAX, MEL - 737, 747, 777, F50(if not mistaken at that time (1986 KCH-MYY))) AirAsia (many sectors - KUL-AOR - 737) American Airlines (4 sectors - LAX-ORD-CID, couldn't remember what type) Singapore Airlines (4 sectors - MEL-SIN-KUL, 777, 747)
