  1. You'd probably want to avoid the others in Pakistan too. They dont exactly have the best fleet of aircrafts. MH B734s were relatively well maintained. Had a great safety record
  2. MH 1405 is KBR-KUL so they could not have been vacating the runway. No news on what happened yet so far though
  3. 9M-MXB STA 1720 LT tomorrow 07 MAR
  4. Just out of curiosity, has anyone got any idea what do they mean by "making sure the aircraft is in pre-delivery condition before returning it" . Perhaps someone familiar with the engineering side could explain what do they do with the aircrafts to ensure its in a pre delivery condition because while they were around, and while we've been using them, they seem to be in a condition worthy of carrying passengers all these while.
  5. What kind of equipment are you referring to specifically. I know someone who deals with these things. PM me your details
  6. 158 seats for Haneda - Frankfurt. I wonder how's the economics of this route is working out for them. If it works, prices must be high enough and the operating cost of the 787 must be incredibly low.
  7. Try 031300883000 from ur cellphone. I used to do it this way in the past. It might work for you, however local call charges still apply when it is done this way.
  8. 1-300 number not available in Penang? Why not, Raymond?
  9. Rumors are going around that there will be a return of an European station, and KUL - Karachi will soon be operated by 737-800. Not sure how reliable this source is though
  10. LGK seems to be one of the biggest losers after all these years. What an eye opener. I could barely remember some of those routes. Thanks Kandiah!
  11. Really? 11km? Wow.. where did they figure that out from?
  12. Dont remember that one. I thought it was in the hotel room, not in the aircraft.
  13. A6-EYE has visited KUL twice in the past three days. Also noticed Kuwait's A340 was AOG for a while due to a tech snag. Flight was delayed last night for several hours and delay was TBA
  14. Cost of leasing the aircrafts could be one reason. The routes out of JHB has yet to be proven successful. Perhaps they're taking a low risk approach by reducing their investment cost (leasing fee of 734 must be significantly lower than that of 738), at least until the routes are proven to be successful enough to justify higher leasing fees
  15. Paxing crew are supposed to be in uniform while paxing by requirement.
  16. Crew usually have their uniform covered with a cardigan (for females) or a vest (for males) during the rest time on the last row of the seats. I am surprised its being made into such a big deal with issues of branding and image being a concern when it is actually a standard industry practice.
  17. We seem to have this LCCT mania here in Malaysia. I see AK using the main terminal buildings of BKK and SIN without complaining. They go on using the main terminal buildings of many other airports as well, and those airports are still attracting heaps of traffic. Why is Malaysia so caught up with a dedicated LCCT?
  18. Still wondering what a burst tyre has got to do with old planes.
  19. Kanehoshi, thank you very much sir for the lovely photos. I was in the forward seat on the right hand side. We had some very strong tail winds on approach. Lovely shots, my first time into SGN, and the first time I have been photographed operating. Really appreciate it. Keep bringing us more photos from SGN. Its a joy to see them.
  20. Kanehoshi, I saw this aircraft at SGN yesterday. Believe she landed while I was on transit there. Any chances you caught us in our Malaysian 737 operating as MH758 ? Reg was 9M-MMY..
  21. Have always admired AK's creativity in what they do, be it business decisions, marketing or even their aircraft livery. But this time, I am not in favor of this change, and so is the sentiment of some of my friends in AK who are pilots too
  22. Thats right. Some regulatory issues has surfaced, but details are unknown. That's the reason why the those in Australia have been unable to make bookings.
  23. Isn't "retimed" a very popular term used by most airlines these days? You'd see plenty of it on the FIDS at the budget terminal too. But I hardly ever see "Delayed" anymore
  24. Before you guys get down on this matter, maybe its worth to take a moment to wonder if this guy is really a part of MH, or a representative of MH, or associated with MH at all in the first place. The company would not use a forum to make known their dissatisfaction (if any) to an individual. I doubt the credibility of this guy. Azizul, as long as there's nothing from MH itself, i dont think there's a need to respond anymore to this guy. Highly doubt MH's COMM DEPT has anything to do with this
  25. Really? I tried making several booking from SYD to CDG vv and a few other bookings from different Australian airports to EU without any trouble at all. It went smoothly on my end. At which stage of the booking were you have problems, Josh? Did it occur while you were trying to make the payment or in the earlier stages?
