  1. Inter district travelling is allowed at last. More than a year for me didn't set foot on KLIA.

Is was like deja vu doing plane spotting here in the olden days. Not so much on the slow traffic but airport authorities started closing some of our usual spots and ask to beredar. 😤

Plane spotters again treated like villains after the pandemic.

OK, enough of ranting, getting a few shots are still better than not getting.

Rwy 14R in use for months now. Some morning actions.

  2. Ah Ong, thanks for sharing the above photos about the latest development at Anjung Spotter. It seems like within the organisation, there are departments against each other. Anjung Spotter is there which is great, yet some genius decided to hang wires and CDs to obstruct the vantage views.

The above development certainly bringing me to link to the current New Malaysia kind of development. The head carried out so initial plans but on the other level, they will derail or make the plans to fail.

Of course I am not saying the above Anjung Spotter issue is political linked, just how I feel about the similarity of the two.

Well, thanks for the Anjung Spotter but I will have to move on to other places until the wire and CDs are gone.

  3. The new spotting structure is ready and opened?

Anyone can show us how the new 'observation deck' looks ?

The structure is ready and work still in progress. It is not open yet with workers working there.

If you ask nicely, they may allow you to be on the platform as long as not obstructing the work.

Thanks Flee for digging out the old thread. I had some fun time reading and seeing the photos. A lot of jokers in Mwings.

  5. Thank you Azahan for opening this thread and sharing those lovely photos.

Most of the seniors here are mostly in semi retirement from plane spotting or posting here. :pardon:

Here are some "new" staff for KUL recently

    EY is using B789 now

  6. Many thanks for the heads up and updates during the wild goose chase.

Notice the doors configuration is different from the standard A321/Neo and this Cabin-Flex Neo variant.

Chaity, did not see you there at the perimeter road.

Ah Ong, I was wearing black that day, well blended into the All Black livery ........ :pardon:

  7. Air NZ first A321NEO on delivery flight en route KUL.

She was gated at KLIA2 after her arrival from MCT yesterday night. A bit of wild guess for us if she would depart from Rwy 32R or Rwy 33. Eventually, Rwy 33 was the chosen runway for her to continue her journey to Cairns, Australia.

  8. Airbus made KUL its SE Asia "hub" for the proving flights phase of its A330-900 test programme. After arriving from TLS on 27 June, it made a return trip to MNL. 28 June was a busier day as it did a KUL-CGK return trip in the morning. Here we see it departing from the rarely used (in 2018) runway15 for DMK.

Those RR Trent 7000s look much more matched to the A330 compared to the "puny" Trent 700s.

We had a late MWings anniversary meet on that day with the usual suspects turning up for A330neo
