  7. So lucky! Who owed you a favour in crewing?? haha
  8. Great catches, Norman! The hotrod DC-3 will depart at 0900
  9. awesome, awesome, awesome! C-17's are just awesome!
  10. Radzi, Challenger 850 (purpose built CRJ-200 business jet, unlike Airods N888GY which was converted to a VIP config after a reasonably short life in airline service). As a side note, conversion of used CRJ's (typically 100's and 200's) into business jets is a booming market at present, providing a large cabin, roughly 3000nm range jet (if Long range tanks are fitted during conversion) for the fraction of the price of a brand new equivalent aircraft, and quickly. CRJ's have a service life of 80,000hrs or cycles, most exiting airline service (after being replaced by far more fuel efficient turboprops) have only 20 - 25,000hrs (and equivalent cycles) and with a typical higher use bizjet flying 500hrs a year, in theory (certainly not reality) you have a jet good for another 120yrs!
  11. very nice, Captain! That is a modernised C-5M as well! Very lucky catch!
  12. A343's 9M-XAB/C have been popping in and out of KUL under the cover of darkness operating on behalf of Saudi Arabian
  13. great stuff. Please keep a look out for VH-VOV going out for a test
  14. Are you kidding! An-74 on minute, Tu-154 the next! Awesome!
  15. Congratulations to mdsaleh and TK who both have had pictures published in Novembers issues of Australian Aviation of 73W VH-VBP in Primera colours, and 73H VH-VOD in Jeju scheme, respectively.
  16. Bring it on! Double Daily instead of the 10 a week would be a welcome start and it easily falls within reach of a 73H.
  17. The Pan-Pacific is the closest to the airport, however in terms of quality spotting from there well that is another story. I'm sure if you got a easterly facing room you may be able to photograph aircraft getting airborne off 32R from a distance. It is only a short walk back to the terminal and through to the viewing mall. Concorde-Inn is nearby basic and has a shuttle to the airport running regularly. If you are in international transit (only airlines using the main terminal), then the transit hotel in the Satellite Terminal (beyond border control) has good views, however its the dirtiest, most run down place I've ever stayed
  18. nice shots Ian! sad to see the infamous VH-OJH in the background of your first shot preparing to leave the fleet
  19. Long gone, SV. Shame, I used to use that service a bit.
