If you can afford to spend money in UK, u definately can afford to buy food inflight B)

Why gets fussy over pricey foods when u got loads to spend? Why complain abt leg room/cramp seat? sure they'll think of smthing to at least ovrcome these. you don't get cheaper if you don't expect for less in service... none ever offer rm400 to UK b4, even by boat...!

Typo takes tourist 13,000 km out

    POSTED: 9:27 a.m. EST, December 29, 2006

    Story Highlights

    • NEW: Web typing error takes German tourist 13,000 km (8,077 miles) wrong

    • 21-year-old set out for Sydney, Australia but ended up near Sidney, Montana

    • Mother who helped send refund says: "He is usually good with computers"

BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) -- A 21-year-old German tourist who wanted to visit his girlfriend in the Australian metropolis Sydney landed 13,000 kilometers (8,077 miles) away near Sidney, Montana, after mistyping his destination on a flight booking Web site.

Dressed for the Australian summer in T-shirt and shorts, Tobi Gutt left Germany on Saturday for a four-week holiday.

Instead of arriving "down under", Gutt found himself on a different continent and bound for the chilly state of Montana.

"I did wonder but I didn't want to say anything," Gutt told the Bild newspaper. "I thought to myself, you can fly to Australia via the United States."

Gutt's airline ticket routed him via the U.S. city of Portland, Oregon, to Billings, Montana. Only as he was about to board a commuter flight to Sidney -- an oil town of about 5,000 people -- did he realize his mistake.

The hapless tourist, who had only a thin jacket to keep out the winter cold, spent three days in Billings airport before he was able to buy a new ticket to Australia with 600 euros in cash that his parents and friends sent over from Germany.

"I didn't notice the mistake as my son is usually good with computers," his mother, Sabine, told Reuters.

    DUH!...

Watch what you're typing, watch where you're going.. eheheee

  3. Ya... i thought it was 15th too and maybe i misread it. but after shifting through stacks of Star newspaper here in my office, YUP... it is 50th.. believe it or not...

Try Star newspaper 27th Dec, Star Biz section, 1st page titled 'AirAsia embarks on 2nd chapter'. Go to 4th last chapter. it reads... 'The carrier received its 50th A320 aircraft last week,...'

If you look through 26th Dec Star (think so), there's a full page advert of Airbus thanking mr tony for 50th airbus...

The alphabet does have 26 letter but have you checked AK's 'store' (hangar or whatsoever-place they keep the brand-news...)

Hmm... how do you hide enormous vehicles from prying eyes...? Belum forest?

  4. A great news, this is, i must say. Never thought of this... it has always been PEN-KUL, KUL-KCH, vise-versa. and now, PEN-KCH. great! and yes, more flights and traffics in PEN, it will be.

Ah yes, congrats to AK for their 50th A320. 50th already? man, that's fast... say buh-bye to B733...

  5. Teoh,

Won't work on foul body odor: it's the gasses that have to be burned :pardon: (try it out in a toilet)

I've watched Mythbuster on Discovery some time ago. it was about a myth that by lighting up matches, the odour of the 'gases' will be eliminated. although it contains a trace amount of methane (if i'm not mistaken), they've proved that by doing so still won't be able to 'kill' the adour from he gases BUT the sulphur smell somewhat managed to CONCEAL the foul smell a little bit... so, the myth was busted.. :D

you may try it out in the privacy of your 'little-square-room' but be careful not to burn your 'precious' one...
